Great location! A short walk to watch the Fireworks over the dunes at the end of the street. Added amenities like the community pool and playground were great for our kids of all ages. Love all the seating/room accommodations for our extended family of 12 that fit great in the house. Mindy was very helpful when we arrived and easy to contact if we needed anything. Would love to come back to Silver Lake and stay here again!

Long Family Weekend

Games, meals, bonfires, exploring the area, walks, we did it all! Comfortable house, stocked kitchen, large serene yard, easy access to town. Thanks for sharing your home, Mindy!

The house was even better than advertised! We had so much space and we all slept great. The kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed the neighborhood park and pool and the proximity to activities like Craig's Cruisers was an added bonus. We would love to stay here again and make it a yearly tradition.

Beautiful, clean, well maintained and loved home. Nice cozy in and out, close to everything yet feels private. It's a large 4 BR home but only has 1 shower. My family had to take shifts 😂 but I wouldn't want to share with another couple. If you have a large family GO GO GO its very special

Nice location. Still close to all downtown attraction 7-10min walk, community pool. Set back off the street and away from most of the noise. Nice beds, and great host. Rebooked for next year.

Loved this house!

We had 8 adults and 2 kids….plenty of room for everyone! The beds were super comfortable. The furniture was super comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you’ll need. The front yard is huge and perfect for lawn games and squirt gun fights! We enjoyed the back deck and the kids liked trying to fish for the carp that came by at night. And the location is fantastic. Easy walk to the pool, Craig’s cruisers, and the lake. Easy drive to MacDunes, Pentwater and Ludington. Highly recommend this house!

Never Disappointed

Mindy is the best! We have stayed here numerous times and the house and Hostess are always delightful. They should have a 6th star for people and places like this one. Thanks again Mindy and we look forward to our next visit.

Perfect placement

The house is situated far enough from town and off the road that it’s nice and quiet. Yet it’s close enough to town that a short walk or bike ride gets you there quickly. The house is very cozy, in the sense that it’s not a musty cottage. It’s nicely decorated and very well equipped. The kids loved that they could dunk our kayaks into the creek right out the back door of the house and off the deck. It was also a bonus to be able to use the garage to store our 9 bicycles while we were there. Mindy was very accommodating and a wonderful host!

Perfect week!

We had a fantastic experience staying at Mindy’s home! The house was clean and beautiful. All the comforts of home and then some. We had a group of 4 adults and 6 children and we had plenty of room. The kids especially enjoyed the creek in the back yard and the short walk to the pool! We will definitely be doing it again next year. I highly recommend Mindy’s happy place!

Another GREAT Stay!

We have been lucky enough to stay at Mindy's house a couple of times now. The house and property are very large and accommodating of a large group or family. The owner (Mindy) is exceptional in her communication and co-ordination of making your stay worry free. We look forward to yet another return trip next year.

Silver Lake Family Vacation 2022

Mindy, the owner, is very accommodating. Her home was very comfortable for our family of 7 adults and two small children . The decor is warm and cozy so we immediately felt at home. Good location too. Just off busy N. Shoreline Dr. but close enough to walk to shops and other attractions. Look forward to next stay.

Family Vacation

Our military family drove from CA to Silver Lake to have a family vacation with my brother, his family, and my mom and dad. That is a total of 11 people and we all fit just fine. The property is just a few minute walk to the rides, restaurants, and of course, gorgeous Silver Lake. Yet, it is nestled into a quiet community with a nice community pool. Mindy is a super nice lady and very accommodating during our stay. We look forward to staying again really soon!

I love this home :)

We felt very fortunate to get this reservation in the winter for our summer vacation this past week. The pictures and reviews were great so our expectations were quite high. I have to say though, they were greatly exceeded :) This house is spacious, beautifully kept up and has a great up north feel to it. ALL the amenities and necessities are there, the beds were sooo comfortable, the yard is great for any activity, the deck and fire pit are large and private. The location is perfect and the pool is fantastic, Laying in a hammock by the stream was a dream. Launching our kayaks right off the deck to head to Silver Lake was another bonus. I cannot say enough great things about this property and the owner Mindy. It was exactly what we had hoped for and much more. We usually go to Silver Lake every 3-4 years, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else now.

Our Happy Place is Happening

This property is at the center of all the activity! Walking distance to Silver Lake, community swimming pool and the main strip serving up food and family fun. This is our 2nd year staying at Our Happy Place and we truly enjoyed all it has to offer. Mindy is the absolute most welcoming and accommodating owner. We are already looking to book again next year.

Great Clean Centrally Located

We loved our stay here and our host Mindy was most accommodating. The place is well kept, stocked, and nicely decorated. Walking distance to Craigs Cruisers, ice cream, the lake. and about 1 mile easy walk to sand dunes. The home offers many places to sit inside and out, everyone had space to do thier thing. Great spot i would rent here again!

Great family spot

This is a great family vacation location! The house was perfect. The owner was quick to respond with any questions I had. There is so much to do in the area that was either walking distance or a few minutes drive. The yard is big for kids to plan on, has a nice fire pit, and a pool with playground a short distance away. One down fall was the pool hours they are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays and have limited hours on other days.
