"The view is stunning!! We kept rushing back home to sit outside and enjoy the view!! Michael was amazing w his communication and always responded immediately! The house was just as described. Plenty of room for 3 generations to meet and spend a weekend. Marion has places to eat and Asheville is an easy 40 min drive. I’d recommend driving an suv to get up and down the driveway. Lots of out door areas to sit and enjoy the view!! View from inside was amazing too! Just can’t say enough...

"If you want a peaceful retreat then look no further! This is your spot! The house is perfectly clean and well appointed. My favorite spot for a morning cup of coffee was the screened in porch looking out at the river. Unfortunately we didn’t get to spend our time allotted there and had to leave early."

Before you arrive make sure to print out all the information that the owner sends you. There is no cell phone or internet reception in the area. "The whole stay was so relaxing and the cabin was so beautiful. Perfect for what we had in mind. It had everything we needed. We just had to bring ourselves and food. The cabin was very clean. We had a blast with the pool table. The back yard wasvery spacious and well groomed. It was hard to leave when the time came to pack up and go at the end of our stay. It was thebest way to start my 50th decade ."

"The cabin is very nice, clean, comfortable and spacious. It is in the middle of the mountains surrounded by nature. Before you arrive make sure to print out all the information that the owner sends you. There is no cell phone or internet reception in the area. If you arrive at night it can be very difficult to find the cabin. It is on the left and the entrance is a little difficult to see. You will see 839 Francis carved into a wooden sign, but in the dark it is almost invisible. Also keep in mind that due to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helen, there are several roads closed and you will have to use detours that will delay your route to the cabin. The cabin has everything you might need. Just bring your personal belongings, toiletries and food. Also laundry detergent if you want to wash clothes. We were very happy and pleased with our stay. They have movies for the kids, books, games. And the fireplace warms up the living room nicely. We had a very nice and pleasant time with our family. We will definitely return at some point in the future."
