"Family of 7 came for high school graduation. The cottage was very nice and the hosts were excellent. Beautiful property. We were pretty busy but we did make some time for just a little fishing. The kitchen had anything we needed. We would definitely come back."

Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus."

"I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay."

"The house was nice, good location, easy check in/out. My only complaint is that the water from the pipes had a bit of a smell to it (the faucets and the shower). Other than that everything was as advertised. Great for our Mardi Gras trip. "

"We drove from Georgia to see our son graduate from SELU. It was in a great location in proximity to the school. We were able to relax and enjoy each other while sitting out on the deck. The beds were comfortable and I loved the massage chair!"

"So overall very good place to stay except there is no curtain or blind on the bathroom windows. Had to use towels Also might need a slip stick in bathtub. Also need to screw the dishwasher into the frame. It almost fell over. Otherwise a great place. Clean with plenty of room for everyone "

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage near Lake Pontchartrain, LA! The home was perfect for visiting family—cozy, well laid out, and incredibly charming. "We loved this house. It was everything we needed for our stay and location was close to everything! The hosts were easily contacted, quick responses when needed and so helpful! Easy check in and check out process. The outdoor patio was great and very relaxing with a nice breeze, if you have kids the playset was great too. My daughter loved the train set and doll house! Decor is so cute and the house is very clean! If we can visit again we will definitely book again!"

"Creek is moving water so hardley any mosquito. Coldest creek in LA perfect for toddlers to play in the shallow water. Lots of small fish for kids to catch. The house has the essential for cooking pots pans etc. Because your 20mins from a McDonalds dont believe google when it says 10 mile. We came to LA to see family in the area. Would come back to this place when we come back to LA. "
