The home was very clean and well maintained. Our dog Max is a senior, like the both of us, the elevator worked out great! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and spices. We loved the peaceful setting, would love to visit again in the Summer.

Everything was very clean, Marcus gave very clear check-in instructions and was very easy to reach for the one question I had. This property is very unique! I’m not sure what it was prior to becoming a VRBO, but it is very cool to explore and there are surprises around every corner at this place. I just wish I would’ve booked two nights instead of one!

Marcus was a great host who went above and beyond. My daughter left her cell phone at the property and we didn't even realize it until Marcus contacted us. We were over 2 hours away on our way home. He shipped the phone to us so we didn't have to add 4 more hours to our 9 hour drive home. The property was very beautiful and unique & had everything we needed. Thank you Marcus!

Great place in the middle of nowhere. There is a Dollar General about 5 minutes away but that is most of the town. My Grandma really appreciated the elevator and said that the property would be great for entertaining. There was a few things that were obviously in the process of being updated but overall it was a great place to stay as long as you want to be away from the city.

Beautiful place so quiet and peaceful, we stayed 4 days and had a small ceremony. We had no issues at all and the host was easy to communicate with. Only suggestion I would make would be to maybe label the light switch so guest knows which ones work what. Hoping to return every year if possible

Property was absolutely stunning , my wife and I had an amazing time for our anniversary and will definitely be back again. Slightly disappointed that durring our stay the fireplace and claw foot tub weren't operational but the facility had such an over abundance of amenities that this was only a minor inconvenience. Property manager was very accommodating to our needs and for the money I'll choose this over a hotel anytime im in town.

We had a great time for our weekend getaway! The kids did not want to leave! They loved fishing in the river. Don't forget to bring fishing poles and some chairs to enjoy the river. We left the chairs at home but will bring them the next time.

Looks like it’s out of a story book

Cute place to stay! Only complaints are the amount of spiders and bugs (outside, not inside). Granted, it’s summer in Louisiana. The property could just use a little outside maintenance. There is also a friendly cat that roams the area. The only reason this was an issue is because our dogs are reactive and it made it a little stressful. Friendly host who was very responsive and accommodating.

Secluded Getaway

The "Isle of View" was the perfect location for my friends and I. Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus.

Really Unique Home!

The house is amazing. Such unique architecture lends to a wonderfully quirky interior layout. Being on the second floor is really like being in a supercool tree house! Every window has a view of the lush woods. And there are so many places to sit! Porch, deck, gazebo, fire pit, table by the bridge, and two first floor decks. The deck was my favorite hangout. The reason I left a star off "cleanliness" was not due to the house not being clean. It definitely is. But, there are a number of minor house maintenance tasks that need to be attended to. None of these deterred from our enjoyment and the host is well aware of them. When we were there some outdoor fixes were in progress, which is great to see. Speaking of host, Marcus is amazing. What a nice guy and very attentive. The neighbor's cat is also quite attentive and incredibly friendly, meeting us as we arrived and greeting us each morning when we came downstairs. The kitchen is well-stocked. Spice cabinet has just about everything you could ever need. The house was very clean, lots of towels available, and the main bedroom bed was very comfortable (we didn't use the other two bedrooms). The property is gorgeous. You're right in the middle of a forest. So many birds! There is lots of room to walk and explore. Our dogs were in heaven. This is such an interesting house, I know you will enjoy your stay.

Very nice

Absolutely gorgeous property! Peaceful, quiet, and a very friendly, sweet kitty who visited daily. The house was very pretty, stocked well, and the elevator was a fun touch. Only concern was that a significant number of items were out of service including the claw foot tub, bedroom door to outside and indoor fire place which were done of the points for us to select this place. Additionally, even locked, the front door can be easily pushed out pulled open meaning no security.

Overnight getaway

We loved our time here. We were upset about the tub not working and the shower and other bathroom shower had little to no hot water. We would’ve liked to take a hot shower after a long day. My kids did love everything about the inside and outside of this property! It was worth it for us to stay here! Check in was east and communication was great. Thanks for sharing your property with us
