Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Sauberkeit könnte ebenfalls besser sein, die Betten waren bequem, der Balkon und der Ausbluck waren super, der Service war gut, das Frühstück war für drei Sterne gut (man konnte dich ein frisches Omelette machen lassen), die Auswahl am Abendbuffet war gering, aber die Qualität gut. Unser Zimmer war im 2. Stock zur Straße und daher laut.

Booked a room with a side sea view and got a room at the back of the hotel with no view of the sea. The smallezt balcony off the bedroom and just a window in the lounge which was very dark and like a cell. Went to recetion and although pleasant could not offer us a different room. Glad they didnt have a weeks availibilry and now in The Girassol. Much nicer for the same money

Ein typisches 3 Sterne Hotel. Das Bad war noch aus den 70/80er Jahren. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung jedoch von niedriger Qualität. Das Abendessen war eher schwach. Wir haben zu Mittag draußen gegessen, so dass das Abendessen im Hotel für uns nur eine zusätzliche Option darstellte.

Good quality accommodation at an excellent price. It’s not the Ritz but the room we had was comfortable and had a pleasant sea view. The breakfast was included and was very good. There are many restaurants nearby and it’s also on a main bus route with the centre of Funchal less than 10 minutes away. If you are looking for a comfortable budget stay on this wonderful island this could be for you.

A fuir! Hygiène globale exécrable. Cafards moustiques cuisine insalubre. Odeurs terribles dans les chambres . Les clients semblent être sélectionnés car il y a des chambres sans ventilateur dautres avec, certains ont des terrasses d'autres non. Le ménage n'est pas fait sans réclamation à l'accueil. Ils font juste le lit. Les avis positifs ne peuvent pas être véritables nous avons réservés à plusieurs et tous constatés les mêmes manquements. C'est inadmissible de proposer un tel accueil. Le personnel n'est pas aimable du tout. Malgré nos réclamations ils font la sourde oreilles. Vraiment il fait fuir cet endroit.

Les portes qui claquent constamment le matin très tôt, le nettoyage initial de la chambre pas top , j'ai récupéré un aspirateur et l'ai passé sous le lit ( poussière, miettes...) . La chambre supérieure offre une vue très partielle sur la mer mais une petite terrasse fermée agréable.

This 3 star hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Although the corridors seemed a little old fashioned and the bathroom was an old design (navy blue tiles, so seemed dark) everything was clean and functional. Buffet breakfast was first class and the themed evening meals (buffet style again)were great and good value for money. Rooms cleaned daily. The bed was a little hard (but that would be my preference). There was plenty of space in the apartment and room to hang clothes up and store suitcases. Nice balcony with 2 chairs and table. All staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I could have done with was another pillow and a smaller towel for drying my hair. Would recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay with my son. The room had loads of space and the kitchen had enough utensils to prepare breakfast and basic meals. The buffer dinner was quite nice probably one of the best I have in holiday hotels! The hotel is not far from Funchal town 20-30mins walk or easy access via a buse journey. There is plenty around the hotel to keep you in the hotel neighbourhood, just go and explore! The staff was very friendly and happy to help when solicited.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans cette hôtel ; la piscine est bien entretenue, literie au top et petit-déjeuner complet et copieux. Petit point à améliorer : l'hôtel dans son ensemble mériterait un rafraîchissement, que ce soit dans les communs (commencent à devenir vieillots) que dans les chambres (meubles et décoration dans son ensemble). Mais cela n'a en rien gâché notre séjour :)

Overall, our stay at florasol was decent. Room is nothing special. Relatively clean, but older rooms with poor air quality. Some more things should be updated in the room for improvement (very old microwave, rusty mirror, etc.). Be aware that parking at this hotel is limited.
