Lovely big house at Illawong beach

We had a great stay in this generously sized house with great facilities. Very clean and spacious. Close to everything and a short stroll to the beach.

NQ Holiday

We used this house to base overselves whilst we visited the Mackay region during the day. Great beach for walking so close. We would stay here again.

Great House with a few notes

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the house was great and so was the location! Just a few things we would change such as: - We had to purchase toilet paper during our stay. It would have been good to have extras stocked in the house to ensure we didn't have to do this. - We had to buy our own washing machine detergent. Again, would recommend having a dedicated washing powder box for the house for guests to use. - The dryer didn't work properly. The dryer constantly kept turning off and we found ourselves opening and closing it to get it to work. Besides these three points everything else was fantastic! Our family really enjoyed staying in the house, cooking our own meals when we stayed in and enjoyed relaxing.

The Beach House

Great location. Loved having a tidy secure yard and the ability to take our fur babies away on holidays with us. Easy access to the beach for daily walks. Checking was a breeze. Nice property with plenty of room for a large family. Wasn’t as clean as I expected. Had to clean the BBQ before using it and there were dead bugs in some of the drawers and bird poo in the outdoor area. There is a vacuum available to use but no vacuum head to do the floors only an upholstery/crevice attachment which is kind of useless. Overall an excellent property and a lovely place to stay.

Amazing Property

We loved our stay! It was the perfect size for us and our teenage children. It was also the perfect location to prepare for our wedding. Will definitely be staying again when we are in town!

Communication was easy and the house was absolutely perfect for us. The street was quiet and lovely, the house was clean and modern, and the host was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating as well. Would happily stay here again. 5/5 stars and highly recommend!

Location location location, a stones throw from the beach and a short drive to the centre of town. A beautiful home with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday in Mackay.

Fantastic!

The Beach Holiday Home was fantastic and presented beautifully – it suited our groups needs perfectly. Plenty of room for everyone, very functional kitchen including heaps of utensils and cooking equipment, really comfortable beds and the welcome surprise of a Nespresso machine! Many thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

Exactly What We Hoped For

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach Holiday Home. My wife, 18 month old son, and in-laws stayed here for the week leading up to my wife's delivery of our new baby. The house is very spacious and clean. It was perfect for my son and his grandparents to walk to the beach just a few minutes away (on a foot path). The kitchen was very nicely equipped with appliances, dishes, and cutlery so cooking there was a breeze. The Weber grill was used often. The bedrooms were nice and had no issues with the beds. The only drawback I could mention would be the blinds as they still let a tremendous amount of light in around the edges, even when fully closed as the blind comes off the roll away from the window rather than toward the window (leaving a gap). The living areas were great - a good TV and entertainment system made for good movies and the open floor plan worked well for my son to play in. There were toys and games there for him which he enjoyed. The process of booking and the coordination of the transaction was very smooth and the staff were very helpful. We even left some items at the house so had to arrange to pick them up several weeks afterward and it was not a hassle at all. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

Perfect for large families

Beautiful home. 5 minute walk to beach. Gorgeous outdoor setting and BBQ. Extra televisions in 3 of the bedrooms. 2 bathrooms upstairs and extra toilet downstairs. Well equipped kitchen and laundry. Plenty of room for 7 people to spread out. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Family Stay

This accommodation was fantastic and exactly what was required for our family holiday. Every aspect was covered to an excellent standard. It was as if we were in our own home. All needs were covered. Value for money when staying with a large group and for an extended stay is what this property delivered.
