Nice property in beautiful location, potentially ideal for our multi-generation family gathering, but...Overall cleanliness of living area was poor; cobwebs hanging from roof, fans filthy (don't turn them on unless you want to be deluged with dust) and generally in need of some maintenance and TLC. Kitchen was filthy - hadn't been cleaned properly for years, both ovens manky, fridge/freezer tired in need of replacement. Beware old fat dripping on your food from the cooker hood! Much of the crockery and utensils were chipped and dirty, although there was plenty of it. Spent the first few hours of our stay cleaning!Bathrooms were modern and clean throughout, good hot showers - but strange heating system which left the downstairs cold whilst upstairs was hot. Finally, this is the first rental we have had (and we rent 3-4 places each year) where there was no small welcome pack on arrival.Overall, had we not had family meeting here from 4 different places, we would not have stayed. As it was, we left on Monday (after just 3 nights). Very disappointing...
