  • The beautiful tiger at the Luray Rescue Zoo. This zoo holds animals that are unable to be cared for any more or should never have become House pets to begin with. The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. Quiet cavern retreat

Gracieland farm was such a nice, quiet, and fun place to stay! The property was so pretty with an array of animals to see, especially birds. The pool was where we spent most of our time because it was HOT!! The covered porch area is nice too. Only about 15 minutes to shopping and food. The caverns weren’t too much farther. Main Street is a cute place also. Mary was very accommodating and we absolutely loved our stay!

The place for everyone!

This is the best place for everyone. We had 6 adults, and 6 kids(1317). Mary was very kind assisting us from checking in to out. The pool was perfect for kids and adults. Also, the hot tub and outside fire pit were perfect. Even before we checked out, we're talking about coming back. I strongly recommend this cozy place to everyone who's looking for the vacation house around this area.

Great farmhouse near Luray

Cute farmhouse has a wonderful pool and hot tub! It’s on the outskirts of Luray, so plan on driving a bit to see the sights but it’s nice and quiet. There’s lots of levels to spread out in the house. Owner was very responsive and helpful with local suggestions of things to do and places to go. We enjoyed Skyline Drive in Shenandoah State Park that was about an hour from the house.

Fabulous family retreat

We were looking for a property that would enable us to have quality family time. This home delivered this and more. If you are looking for a place where you can unplug, unwind and fully appreciate being surrounded by nature and being together this is the place. The home was extremely comfortable and well laid out so that you could have quality family time but everyone felt like they had a little space they could call their own. The pool was an added bonus that was enjoyed both during the day and evening. Our favorite spot was the side porch. It always guaranteed the best breeze and there was nothing better than sitting there in the early morning watching the deer on the property and hearing the train whistles as they traveled by. There was lots to do and see in the area especially the Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park is an absolute must. Downtown Luray is quaint and charming. The owners were extremely attentive and accommodating. Excellent communicators and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and provided us with a very generous s'mores kit and bottle of wine. The farmland itself is wonderful- my daughter did her track training by running the property and our dog loved being able to roam freely. It's a very special place and was exactly what we were looking for before sending our oldest off to college! We look forward to the opportunity to stay again!!

Relaxing Getaway

Gracie Lane Farm is in a nice quiet location where we were able to disconnect and unwind. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit which we enjoyed every day. There was plenty of space for us to relax inside and out. Our dogs enjoyed relaxing around the pool and on the porches. Mary was an excellent hostess! She was in contact with me leading up to our visit and throughout the week. I would recommend Gracie Lane Farms and it is very close to downtown Luray but far enough so you enjoy the country
