"The building and grounds here are absolutely beautiful. It's clearly been a wonderful place to stay at some point. Having said that, our trip was generally very disappointing. "We went as a group of 3 couples. Upon arrival we were made more than welcome. Every single member of staff where so friendly. Our rooms where spotlessly clean, and got cleaned every day with fresh towels each day. The breakfasts where spot on, there was something there for evey dietary requirements. "Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location. We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast. Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite. Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends."
