"Had a wonderful 6 night stay at this lovely, spacious house with plenty of space for our group of 11. The house has amazing gardens with beautiful views and is in a lovely quiet location. We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. She is very helpful and even arranged for someone to come into the villa to cook a meal for the birthday celebration which was just lovely. All...

"The house is very large on the outskirts of Lucca part way up a hillside in a forested setting, about 10 minutes from the Lucca wall. We enjoyed our two week stay there. The contact, Andrea, met us at the house, and explained every aspect of the property. And he checked in with us in person and by phone several times during our stay. "We are a group of 12 retired friends traveling first time in Tuscany. Villa Buonamici was the perfect accommodation for us. It is very close to the gate to the walled city center, literally only minutes away. The accommodations were exactly as described. Checkin/out was very easy and convenient. Our trip to Tuscany included stays in four separate locations and Villa Buonamici was by far our favorite. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Villa, you won’t be disappointed."

"The house was just what we were looking for, an oasis of tranquility. It is as it appears in the photos. Beautiful views and perfectly equipped house. Our dog was happy among the olive trees. Highlight how absolutely clean the house was. We did many excursions, we spent time in Luca all within short distance of the house. With car everything is at hand. Massimo very friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure!"

"Propriété située au calme avec une très belle vue, proche également de Lucca et d’un supermarché. Cependant, la maison comporte très peu d’équipement pour la cuisine …pas de batteur par exemple. Et aucun ingrédient de base : sel, poivre, huile d’olive… les chambres sont de qualité très différentes, le confort de la dernière laissant à désirer, la maison est plus adéquate pour 6 personnes qu’un nombre plus élevé. Très beau jardin fleuri et bien entretenu, et piscine superbe."

"We had a very relaxing stay here, the property is lovely and has everything we needed and we were very comfortable here. A big plus for us is being able to leave the car parked on the drive and behind secure gates safe and sound. Lucca is a charming place to visit and handy for Florence and Pisa. Francesco is very helpful and an excellent host. This was our second stay here and look forward to more visits in the future!"

"Villa Borbone was exactly as it is portrayed on the listing - spacious, elegant, well-maintained and with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. Our checkin process with Elia was seamless - she is friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. All the rooms are lovely as pictured, and our group of 11 have so many great memories spent together in the back yard overlooking the valley, in the other common rooms. "The property is stunning, grand with incredible views. Also the lovely fresh tomatoes from the garden were a lovely added extra. The pool really is exceptional and definitely the biggest I've ever hired, with Hockney views! The only reason for a star down was the cleaners and gardeners were there daily and were there unnecessarily for hours every day and overbearing (also the gardener turned sprinklers on guests by the pool).
