Beautiful apartment. High end everything. Bed was great, down duvets and a good selection of pillows.Kitchen was well equipped and appliances were all new.Location was in the middle of the city so walking to the sights was easy. Great restaurants and wonderful grocery stores nearby.Love this apartment.

Palace View Penthouse is a lovely apartment, perfectly situated in the heart of Lucca, within easy walking distance of the many wonderful attractions the city has to offer. We found the description and photos on VRBO accurately reflect the apartment and surroundings, and in fact fail to mention a few amenities we enjoyed. Our host, Cristina, of Lucca Apartments & Villas, was wonderful as well, greeting us at check-in, answering any questions we had, and providing suggestions or recommendations for activities, restaurants, and other services we asked about. She also occasionally checked in with us via email, if only to ask if there was anything she could do to improve our stay.We spent four of our 16 week European adventure in Lucca, and I’m quite sure we’ll return home saying those were the best four weeks of the trip.

Lovely stay

This is a lovely and comfortable apartment in the heart of Lucca. The kitchen was fully equipped to be able to prepare meals if desired. The bed was very comfortable. We were steps away from everything we needed, including groceries, coffee and amazing restaurants. The train station was a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. Cristina was very helpful, even sharing her favorite restaurant recommendations. I can’t wait to return!

Lovely apartment

Perfect location and Christina was a great communicator both pre and at check in. Great kitchen, living area and bedroom. Balcony is not really useable - rusted old table, the dryer part of the washer dryer doesn’t work and the shower really needs some attention - shower head not properly attached - saw feedback on this from over a year ago which hasn’t been followed up on obviously.

Great Apartment, Great Location

This was a great apartment and loved the convenient location. The apartment was stylish, clean and just the right size for me. I plan on returning to Lucca and hope that I can rent this same apartment again.

The apartment is spacious and very clean!!! Most of all it is an EXCELLENT location, in the center of everything! The communication with the host was excellent and they were very responsive when our hairdryer went on the blink; We had a replacement in several hours. Modern flat inside the walls

Great location in centre of walled city. Kitchen is well stocked and nice eating bar for breakfast. Bed is very comfortable and black out blinds keep out sun and noise. Would definitely recommend this flat.

Fabulous location

Property was as it appears in photos. Spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The location was prime, an easy walk from the train station and walkable to everything inside the walls. Restaurant recommendations from Sonia wee excellent.

Penthouse ?.....No, Building site ?......Yes

The apartment was lovely, clean with good quality furnishings and in a great location. It's on the 2nd floor of a 4 storey building so, in our eyes, not a penthouse. The really big problem with this property is that it's in a building which is currently under redevelopment. The builders are in every day except Sunday from 7.30am until 6pm, and this involves drilling, hammering, scraping, screwing, sawing etc all day long, through the wall from you, above you, throughout the building. I believe we were the only occupied property, the workmen were amazed when they found out we were living there and said that they would be there for some time yet. We asked Sonia if we could be moved but were advised that it wasn't possible, and that she wasn't aware of the noise !!! There is no way we would have booked this apartment, no matter how nice it is, if we'd been told of the disruption. We have never written a negative review before, and we've hired from Sonia on 2 previous occasions, but we feel that anyone wishing to rent this property should be aware of the current situation. We wouldn't ever rent from Sonia again.
