Birthday celebration

The apartment was perfect, its quaint, with typical Tuscan decor, there is every utensil you could possible need, plus all the amenities that make it a home from home, it’s in an ideal location with the train station a short walk away, which makes exploring other areas excellent. We all would highly recommend this accommodation.

FABULOUS

Giuseppe and Roberta could not have been better hosts. They checked in with me on a regular basis to make sure I had everything I needed and we’re ready to help out at any time. The apartment is lovely and fully equipped for cooking up a storm. Plenty of dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. I thank them both for their kindness and consideration while I was in their apartment.

Great find

The property was easy to find and the owners were there to meet us. As it was later in the day they took us to the local supermarket for some essentials. We did everything by train. Italian trains are easy to negotiate, although they do have cancellations like we do! Lucca was a walk away so we went there every day. Pisa is easy to get to by train, as is Florence. If you are over 75 you can get a carte d’argento from the station which is free and gives a third off fares. We loved the property and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony.

Exactly what we wanted and needed

We rented the apartment for a month and would strongly recommend it. We enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort. The apartment is well equipped and quiet. The owners take great care in keeping the space comfortable yet modern, clean, and well stocked. Communication was seamless. Shout out to our new friend, the downstairs neighbor Mario (Italian only but kindness and smiles are universal). Mille grazie for a great stay Giuseppe and Roberta!

Friendly hosts, apartment a bit shabby.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. However I gave a 3 star rating since the living room sofa was awful, even too uncomfortable to sit on. Also a vinyl living room chair had a rip. Both need to be replaced. Kitchen didn't have small spoons or bread knifes.

Family get together

We had a lovely week, meeting up with our daughter in Giuseppe’s apartment. Was handy to train station for trips to Florence and pietrasanta. Giuseppe and Roberta were kind enough to run us to the supermarket to get our supplies. The apartment has all necessary amenities and is clean and spacious.

Great location!

Our hosts were wonderful and went above and beyond to wait for us as our trail was late getting in. They even drive us to a restaurant to make sure we could get something to eat! We were a 5 minute walk to the train station- so easy. And Lucca was just through the walled gates- just beautiful and charming! It was a great hub to take days trips!

Great apartment in great location

This is a great apartment with a nice balcony that is very convenient to the train station and a close walk to the walled city. Easy check-in and lovely and helpful hosts. We really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend.

Great apartment.

What a lovely, well kept and comfortable apartment. So close to the historic centre and ~500m from the train station. Quiet and relaxing with plenty of space. A well equipped kitchen and plenty of towels/linen. The hosts were lovely and met us at the apartment. A perfect place for our family of 4. Highly recommended. Thank you!

A spacious, clean property in a great location

Just what we wanted for our stay in Lucca - ten minute walk to the walled city, just a few mins to the train station - we took the train to Florence one day. Great supermarket a 15 minute walk - we really enjoyed cooking in the apartment as an alternative to eating out in Lucca. Check in with Guiseppe was very easy - he kindly allowed us to check in earlier with there having being nobody staying the night before. Thanks for a lovely stay, would recommend.

Nice neighborhood Shanty house

We really enjoyed this nice shanty house we stayed in. The owner does a great job of keeping it very cozy and livable, with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Just a short walk to the train station and city also made it a great location that was quiet and relaxing. The owner also went above and beyond for us, picking us up at the train station, and finding a good place for us to have dinner that night, and driving us there. Thank you! Definitely deserving of the “Super Host” title!

Visita in famiglia a Lucca.

Ottima posizione vicino alla stazione ferroviaria, la quale non è stata di nessun fastidio. L'appartamento si trova a meno di 10 minuti a piedi dalle mura di Lucca. Proprietari disponibilissimi e cordiali. Appartamento pulito. Città molto bella e da visitiare (meritano sicuramente la cattedrale e la casa Natale di Puccini -- poi la mostra di Passani iniziata proprio lo scorso fine settimana è stata una bella sorpresa). Locali: Meritano 'Ciclo di vino', la trattoria poco fuori da Lucca 'Antica locanda di Sesto' e per chi ama anche l'altra gastronomia sicuramente merita 'L'Imbuto' in piazza Collegio.

Quiet neighborhood but close to the train. If you want to stay in Tuscany I highly recommend this little shanty home. It was clean close to transportation and the walls of old Lucca. We checked out the historic little town and took trips to Pisa and Florence ( Florence was about an hour and 20 min away by train). It it was so nice to come back to a quiet place to stay. Roberta and Giuseppe were wonderful hosts.

Wohlfühlort

Das Apartment hat alles geboten, was im Inserat versprochen wurde. Guiseppe und seine Frau haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Im Kühlschrank fanden wir zu unserer Freude 1 Flasche Wasser und 1 Flasche Wein, der sehr lecker war. Vielen Dank für die angenehme Gastfreundschaft.

Zentral, praktisch, preisgünstig

Die Beschreibung trifft zu. Die Züge vom hinter dem Haus endenden Bahnhofsgelände verursachen nur geringe Geräusche. Bahnhof und historisches Zentrum in Laufnähe. Absolut zu empfehlen für mehrtägigen Aufenthalt. Vermieter sehr freundlich

Safe neighborhood, secure lodging

The hosts were great. We only wish we might have had greater opportunity to visit with them. The apartment is very well maintained and close to the train center--thus but a short walk to the old city of Lucca. These accommodations offer all the creature comforts necessary to provide a comfortable and trouble-free adventure in Lucca and surrounding sites. We highly recommend on all counts.

Brilliant Lucca stay!

Lucca is such an exciting town to be in. This apartment was great as it was situated in a quiet residential area but only a short walk into the hustle and bustle of the walled city. The apartment was really clean and as we arrived late we had to check in ourselves which was made easy by the clear instructions from the host. The apartment size is very generous and has a great kitchen area as well as a lovely balcony if you choose to dine in.

From the first contact, Giuseppe and Roberta have been great hosts. The apartment is just outside the city walls and convenient for all that lovely Lucca has to offer. Prima verblijf!

Een mooi appartement vlakbij de binnenstad van Lucca. Appartement is keurig netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien. Lucca is een prima uitvalsbasis om Toscane te ontdekken.
