Perfect

It’s a beautiful apartment. It’s in a perfect spot to access most of the walled city. As a result it was easy to fall in love with Lucca.

Lucca Lovely

This is a lovely apartment in a fabulous locations in the center of Lucca. Within the enormous wall that defines the old part of town, it's within walking distance of everything. The only difficulties we had were locating the apartment and communicating with the apartment managers. The first was due to the fact that there is actually no number on the building (!). The second is that communicating over WhatsApp required an internet connection, which we didn't have outside of the building. That was maddening. We finally got through on the phone, but that was after five or six phone calls. Other than that, the apartment itself is terrific. And I adore Lucca.

So many good things but one big flaw

There are so many good things about this apartment. The location is perfect - overlooking the piazza San Giovanni and close to restaurants and shops. You can walk out your front door and be right in the midst of the city. Yet it is enough off the well traveled streets to be quiet and peaceful. The elevator to take us to the third floor was much appreciated as we are of a certain age and I was suffering a foot injury when we stayed. The rooms are spacious and the views from the apartment were lovely. All of the appliances were ok. The clothes washer worked well but the dryer did not really dry the clothes. No worries though as there was plenty of room to set up drying racks. This was important as we were there during the middle week of our 3 week stay in Italy. The big flaw with this apartment was the furniture. There was not one comfortable place to sit in the entire apartment. The sofas was old and sagged terribly- we actually took the small bean bag poofs and put them on the sofa to see if that would make it more comfortable ( it didn’t). The remainde4 of seating options were all hard plastic chairs. They were ok for short periods of time, but we were looking for a place to relax between sight seeing and this furniture made that impossible. The beds were also hard and uncomfortable and the linens neede to be replaced long ago. With just a few updates to comfortable furniture and new linens, this apartment would be 5 star. Unfortunately, we were eager to leave at the end of the week to find more comfortable accommodation

Perfect location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Property managers were always reachable and quick to react. To the point when we mentioned there was only 1 wine glass in the cabinet, they went out and bought more! Apartment was perfect location with everything easily accessible on foot, including the train station. Property managers were also very helpful in recommending car services, tour guides and even a chef for a cooking class. We could not have been happier with our choice! That said, two small items that I wish had been different. There was no place in either shower to put shampoo, soap, etc other than floor. It also would have been nice to have a coffee table in the sitting room to offer a place to put a drink or snacks when sitting on the couch. Very minor inconveniences compared to what we loved!

Wonderful Lucca

We have been coming to Lucca for over ten years, this being our sixth visit and this apartment has been the best so far, in terms of facilities, comfort and location. The management team were very helpful and friendly, particularly on arrival. If they were looking anything that could be done to add to the experience, I would suggest maybe a welcome bottle of wine and perhaps the balcony furniture could be updated

Beautiful apartment with some organisational issues! !

This is a beautiful contemporary apartment in a fabulous location in a gorgeous city. It should we 5 stars but we had a number of issues: When we arrived the person who showed us around (didn’t introduce herself so didn’t know here name) asked us ‘ which apartment are you staying in?! Then she discovered that previous occupants, who she didn’t seem very pleased with, had taken the extension and plugs for the TV and video. She said she would replace it. Three days later snd three messages later with no reply at all we gave up. So no TV, films or radio which was really annoying. Of concern to us is that if we had a real emergency there wouldn’t have been anyone to help as no answer to messages. Although we had provided passport details in advance she didn’t have them so had to do that again. Second, the information book had an outdated WiFi pass word and in fact after struggling for hours we realised it wasn’t set up and a code had to be inserted, which was at the back of the router. So we had to set up WiFi which is something I don’t expect to have to do. Third, we couldn’t find cups, glasses etc and then realised they were all in a full dishwasher covered in food which hadn’t been switched on so we had to wash up before we started. The pictures of the terrace are rather flattering. I booked based on how beautiful it looked. It is indeed a potentially beautiful terrace with wonderful views but with very uncomfortable chairs, unsteady rickety table etc., no table clothes (even though the information pack says they are to be used) . Importantly terrace virtually unusable between 10 and 7 as it’s in full sun with absolutely no shade. Please provide a cheap parasol or some awning. Please update your WiFi code in book, please empty the dishwasher and please answer your messages. These simply things would make this a truly 5 star experience as it’s a stunning apartment in a gorgeous setting.

Peaceful and lovely.

We loved our stay at Cachi 2 and enjoyed the comforts of a modern apartment with the warmth of feeling at home. The apartment is situated in a great location just inside the walls with a quiet piazza and church as you step out the front door. Within a short stroll you stumble upon restaurants, shops, more piazza's and stunning churches. Staying in Lucca at Cachi 2 was the perfect place for us.

The kitchen was great and had everything you could need. The bedrooms were quite large with big comfy beds. The balcony was great and we used it all the time. The view from the front windows . When the windows were closed you could not hear anything noise from the street. There is a lift in the building its slow but better than climbing the steps. The apartment is close to everything. We parked in Citadella and got a card to park which lasts for a month for 50 euros great value. Couldn't say a bad thing about the apartment or Lucca. Loved them both.

Perfect

This apartment is ideal for a family or two couples. The two bathrooms are an added bonus. All facilities were modern and new. Very comfortable and great location. I would definitely stay in this apartment again.
