Welcome to Casa Palmero, your peaceful retreat in LA`s View Park neighborhood. With its classic deco features, our spacious, bright & airy 4-bedroom home offers indoor/outdoor living at its finest. With an oversized living room, a lush zen garden & a rooftop deck offering unobstructed views of the entire city, our home offers a quiet serenity that`s hard to find in the middle of the bustling city. Whimsical elements mix with modern amenities, offering you the ultimate in comfort & relaxation.
Our classic Spanish Art Deco home is quintessential Los Angeles. Featuring Spanish-style arches and carved moulding throughout, the property dates back to 1929; it was built leading up to the 1932 Olympic summer games. The house sits on a perch that overlooks the Downtown skyline, Hollywood sign and surrounding mountains.
On the main level, the oversized living room, large dining room and double kitchen nooks are all surrounded by bay windows that overlook the entire city and LA`s signature palm trees. These areas lead to the large kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and all the conveniences and comforts of home. There is also one bedroom/office on this level. The room features a workstation, along with a foldout twin bed for one person. There is also one bathroom downstairs, with a glass-enclosed shower.
Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a plush California King bed, mounted SmartTV, workstation, and additional sitting area. The room also has an en-suite tiled deco bathroom with shower & tub, along with a private balcony overlooking the entire city.
The second upstairs bedroom overlooks the garden and benefits from the serene sounds of the fountain directly below. It has a Queen bed, plus a pullout twin ottoman (which can be used for a 6th guest), along with a mounted SmartTV. The third upstairs bedroom has a Queen bed and SmartTV. Both bedrooms share a bathroom located in the hallway.
The multi-tiered garden and surrounding areas are complete with lush landscaping, a serenity fountain, BBQ grill and plenty of seating to enjoy that perfect meal al fresco. Past the garden, the top-level outdoor deck truly steals the show. From here, you have endless city views, offering you the chance to have dinner, some wine and catch that perfect sunset over LA.
The home is full of charming touches and colors evoking the multi-faceted whimsy of LA. We hope you enjoy our zen retreat and truly make it your own!
You’re renting the entire house and back yard/outdoor area. Please note there is no guest access to the garage. The property caretaker will need to enter the garage unannounced during the day sometimes using the separate exterior entrance. They will not access the interior of the house without advance notice.
Our property is professionally managed by a full service vacation rental agency, so your trip will be worry-free from beginning to end. We will take care of everything from hosted check-in to departure, and will be available for anything you need along the way. We are also available to handle any special or a-la-carte requests, including pre-arrival grocery shopping and arrangement of transportation and/or tours.
View Park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. CITY REGULATIONS & RENTAL RULES (we don`t make the rules, but we do follow them!)
**No parties or large social gatherings of any kind are permitted at this location!** Neighbors have been notified that this property is a vacation rental and are encouraged to call a hotline to dispatch authorities to investigate any disturbances. If the city issues a violation, guest will be responsible for payment of any fine(s) and may be evicted with no refund. The house is equipped with outdoor cameras and noise decibel monitoring which alerts the host in real time if noise levels become excessive.
- Minimum age for primary renting guest is 25. - Daytime occupancy is 12 people. - Overnight occupancy is 8 people. - Maximum of 3 vehicles allowed. - The City imposes a strict noise ordinance for vacation rentals. No music is allowed outside at any time, including music coming from inside that can be heard at the property line, and no noise at all is allowed outside after 10pm. - Please note the property owner will need to enter the garage unannounced during the day sometimes using the separate exterior entrance. They will not access the interior of the house without advance notice.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE - Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out is promptly by 11AM. - Late check-outs without prior approval with incur a $250 fee, as we need time to get the house ready for the next guest.
PETS - Pets are NOT allowed at this property. Any signs of pets on the property will incur an additional $500 fee and will be cause for eviction.
NO SMOKING - We have a no smoking policy. Any signs of smoking in the house will incur an additional $250 fee.
CLEANING Final cleaning after your checkout is included in your reservation quote. For stays longer than 6 weeks, guests will be responsible for the cost of a mid-stay clean every 30 days. Funds for mid-stay cleanings will be collected from guest as they occur.
INSURANCE FEE for Vrbo & Direct Bookings (does not apply to Airbnb bookings) Guest is responsible for the service fee below, depending on length of stay: ● $99: 1-29 nights ● $450: 30-59 nights ● $150: each additional 30-night block
EXTERIOR SECURITY CAMERAS Please note there is ring camera on the garage, one on the entry stairwell, one in the side yard facing the rear entry gate, and one on the front sidewalk entry gate.

Beautiful location to enjoy Los Angeles
Beautiful views from all around the house of downtown Los Angeles. Home has tons of character and neighborhood is pretty quiet. Great place to enjoy the area!

The house has amazing views and outdoor sitting areas. The plumbing in master are outdated. But it's a pretty place.
