Beautiful Lake Property

More than a cabin, this was a lake home with lots of charm. The multiple seating areas on the deck and the living room were excellent for gathering. The neighborhood was quiet and surprisingly bug-free. We really enjoyed this space--highly recommend!

The home is beautiful, clean and has everything you need to be right at home. Only draw back we had was getting in and out with a 3/4 ton diesel and 21 foot bass boat. Road is narrow when turning down towards house and backing in driveway was a challenge as well as getting turned around to leave. Otherwise this place is for you if you’re not pulling a boat. We enjoyed our time.

Great cozy getaway in northern MN

We stayed for a weekend and had a great time. This cabin's location is better than the photos in many ways, it's relatively private from the surrounding cabins and has a great overlook on the lake that's partially obstructed by trees, which I thought was a good thing (less boat noise from the lake). The cabin was well stocked with what you need (soaps, toiletries), dishware and silverware, kitchen utensils. It was clean, tidy, and had enough space for our group of 7 adults. Nice appliances, and it felt cozy and cute. Some comments on the lake: The route to get there was fine for us younger adults, but likely would be harder for very young children and elderly adults, there was sections that had sloped steps and steeper stairs. The lake was swimmable from the dock, but the shoreline was rocky until about 5ft off the dock and some rocks had zebra mussels that some in our group mildly cut their feet on since we weren't careful. After about 5ft, the beach was sandy. The lake was quite clean and clear, and could be choppy at times with high winds. Overall, the lake was very pleasant and we had a good time swimming. Overall, it was a fun experience at a nice place!

Woman Lake log cabin

Beautiful log cabin, maintained well, beautiful view on the bluff overlooking the lake with roomy deck, modern conveniences, comfortable beds, great kitchen, good dock though quite a few stairs down to the lake, good directions from owner - google maps gave us a wrong turn, dirt road the last leg of the drive but well maintained road. Was the perfect place for our stay at Woman Lake to fish, explore the area, and relax. Great communication from owner.

Simply perfect!

Breathtaking views, beautifully maintained and gorgeous cabin with all the conveniences of home! Wonderful location for relaxation and family time spent indoors and out… we rented a pontoon from Wheeler’s Marine and spent endless hours exploring the breathtaking Woman Lake Chain. The hosts are professional and communicate quickly…we highly recommend for families with teens.

Norsk get away

My wife and I took our 3 Norwegian guests away from their intense 2-week research project for a weekend on Woman Lake. Delightful. Peaceful. Beautiful. We have relatives nearby who took us on a boat tour around the lake, which made for yet a whole other enjoyable experience. We ran up to Itasca State Park for an afternoon. Susie made it easy. This was my first VRBO rental. Our guests loved it. I'd go again.

This is our 3rd year at this cabin, absolutely fantastic!! Great location on Women Lake. Everything is clean, comfortable and fully stocked. Relaxing week at the lake! Susie is a great hostess! Lovely vacation!

Cabin and grounds were excellent well maintained. Lake acccess proved to be challenging due to 67 steps to get to lake. Health issues for me made this to difficult.

Women Lake Lodge

Beautiful lodge, we wished we could have stayed and enjoyed it longer. Super clean and cozy cottage nestled off the lake. So fun! Thank you Susie! Hope to come back again for a longer stay. Blessings!

Cute cabin, but...

Cute place with a nice layout. Two families (8 ppl total) shared the space easily, overall enjoyed our time up North. Cons - the photos of the dock are very misleading. That's the neighbors dock (same owner), so it is available for use, but it lacks the structural reinforcements to withstand a boat being tied up. The little 2-section dock for this cabin was okay for picking up/dropping off, but you'll need to make other arrangements for overnight. The walkway down to the lake is VERY steep, not recommended for anyone with physical limitations. There is no beach, just a wooded & rocky shore (no kid swimming at the house, not even jumping in off the dock - too rocky). Road to the house is super narrow, parking is too tight for a trailer. Not a great set-up if you bring a ski/wakeboard or pontoon boat. A 16-18' fishing boat might be work fine.

Lovely Stay!

We completely enjoyed our stay at this house. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. We come every other year to Women Lake and this was the best house we have stayed in. Great lay out and lovely deck views, great huge windows! The dock is very small and tricky to dock a pontoon boat, but we kept our boat at the resort the rest of my family stays in, so not a problem. And the Owners do explain this to you in the description, so please ask the owner more questions if you plan on using the dock or docking a boat. BUT this feature didn’t overshadow our wonderful stay. Highly recommended this property and hope to stay here in the future!!
