STAY AWAY!!!

It is the worst place to stay in London. Honestly I don't understand why it is published in hotels.com. STAY AWAY from this place. I had to book a Real Hotel

Rude staff, dirty kitchen, although great location

Building Work: Not told at booking that I would be woken daily ay 8AM due to renovation works. Electrical wire dangling in main corridor upon arrival, major health and safety breach. House Keeping: Didn't have room cleaned during all of my stay, kitchen utensils were dirty and the pots/pans in the unit were thick with dust. Had to clean before using any of the kitchen. Rude Staff: During whole stay I only met one member of staff who deserved genuine praise; I didn't catch her name, always said hello, welcomed me and had a conversation every time I saw her; usually worked nights and has a Samsung mobile. Other receptionist(s) who worked days were EXTREAMLY rude, didn't acknowledge me or bother to say Thank You during whole visit. Overall the property served its purpose. Advertised at student accommodation out of season, which is ideal; however, I would seek alternatives in future as didn't feel the great expense of my stay was appreciated at all, both by the rude staff and lack of housekeeping.

Poor

Upon arrival, staff were aloof and unwelcoming. No secure baggage storage whilst we waited for the room to be ready. Half of the building was still under construction, with strong paint and adhesive smells. The room itself was fine, but did not resemble the photos. The bed was extremely small, very difficult for us both to fit comfortably. Possibly the worst part however, was the temperature. Despite leaving the windows open all night, it was extremely warm, even though the temperature outside was around 10 degrees. There was no air conditioning and I'm pretty sure the heating was switched on, despite staff claims to the contrary. As a cheaper option, I wasn't expecting miracles, but the negatives mentioned above could easily be addressed if they wanted to and you still pay a lot of money when you compare to hotels outside of London. Positives, excellent location and the room was pretty clean.

There have been poor reports about IQ Student Accommodation .. Pure City Stay ... but it was perfect for my purposes ... with a very good reduction made for the interior improvement works in progress which did not directly impact on the guest accommodation blocks ... and it is very well located for London Underground and access into the West End and City ... car parking of course is very restricted ... but there is unrestricted parking a bus ride away ... and so on ... So overall in my view very good ... and very especially good for the reduced price that was given.

DO NOT STAY HERE

THE BUILDING IS STILL A BUILDING SITE AND ROOM ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED. On check-in, we had come to our room to find its an empty shell and a student accommodation which was clear until you pay. We reported this to hotels.com and they tried to rectify. After 1 day I had asked the reception to please give us two keys as myself and my boyfriend can access the room, to my dismay the key stop working and could not even enter the building. There is meant to be 24-hour desk service but the team and never there and just leave a note to call them but you can't see this until you in the building. I had got in finally after 10 mins and someone leaving and called the number to have the security fix my key, the woman at the desk came downstairs and asked me "what I want" and "If I live here I should know I need a working key". I told her this was given to me by her staff, but also I am not a student here but booked through hotels.com ( which I thought would calm her). =She then went on to say "well yes hotels.com, Expedia, bookings.com, its all the same crap". by now I was very mad as to how hotels.com can allow such rogue establishments to not just false advertising but treat their guests in such a manner. I had then said I would report her and she calmed down saying "Well I don't know your room number so how do I know who you are". This was never asked and she didn't care, she was in a bad mood and that was it. My boyfriend and I couldn't believe it, NEVER AGAIN. NOT WORTH IT.

Shocking. Wires hanging out the ceiling, lift broken had to walk up and down 4 floors every time I wanted to leave/enter the building. Was given a room with a disabled shower for no reason? Awful. Should've been told it was being renovated. The only saving grace is the £54 price.

Great location. Cleanliness not to my expectations

The location and value is unbeatable! The place is now called IQ, and it’s next to The Beer House and adjacent to a gym. The room is exactly what is advertised with full facilities, wifi and no tv. The cleanliness could be improved. I think it may have been a isolated incident, and for that money, I didn’t mind doing a 5 minute clean myself.

Great location, ok condition could be better

The location was great, however, the cleanliness and the condition left something to be desired. It was what would be expected in a student accomodation. However, the bathroom sink and shower did not drain properly, and the room wasn't cleaned for two weeks while I was there, which left it quite dirty towards the end.

Great location! Right next to the Hammersmith tube station. Has all the amenities for a solo traveler for a short or extended stay. The quality of the room could be improved, but is pretty much what you would expect from a student accommodation.

Good location for Olympia, nice accommodatiion

Booked to stay overnight while attending an event at Olympia. It was student accommodation while out of season, but was very well maintained and comfortable. Great location for Olympia with just a 5-6 minute walk. Would use again.

Hot and noisy - needs maintenance

This is a modern student halls of residence but is already showing its age. The rooms have heating but no cooling and windows barely open (for safety). In the hot weather, with no fans, the rooms are very hot. Also, having stayed a number of times in different rooms, they all seem to have the same problem in the bathroom - the toilets continue to run, which leads to loud "refill" noise through the night and very regular intervals.

Lose to local train station and night life

Room was very basic but comfortable for just a night. No tv in room which later discovered wasn’t on amenities so all fine.

Newer student residence close to transit

Check in was a breeze. I realized it was a student residence but because I paid hotel prices I expected more service. Last year I stayed at UCL Garden Halls at a similar rate, but management was far superior, and they offered free full breakfast. Management was skeletal and costs kept as low as possible. Only 1 elevator was operating. It always came slowly but the doors closed very fast. There was no signage to indicate the level outside the elevator so you could end up exiting to the wrong floor. The staff tried their best but there was only so much they could do. Cheap, cheap, cheap yet the rates were not!

Good quality student accommodation for use outside of term time. Caution: If you want the room to sleep 2 people, make sure you are both small as the bed is a 1.5 single!

Misrepresented property Only suitable for students and yet overpriced. As student accommodation it was OK but very basic, noisy and air conditioning didn't work

Location perfetta. un po rumoroso e letto piccolo

la stanza è accogliente e pulita. La location è perfetta. Le persone alla reception gentili e cordiali.Problemi: il letto è piccolo per una coppia (specialmente se il marito è come me un po' grassottello), con la finestra chiusa il rumore è minimo ma se decidi di aprirla perchè fa troppo caldo dentro senti i treni della metropolitana che passa sotto

Do not stay here!

This place is a uni dorm not a hotel. Guests are treated like students & there are no facilities & no air conditioning. Rooms were like an oven & made it unbearable to stay in let alone sleep at night! Much better hotels around. Extremely noises becsuse of train station next door with announcements regularly. Lots of emergency sirens constantly. Do yourself a favour & check reviews before booking anywhere.
