This apartment was in a fantastic location and quite clean, comfortable and modern. The host communication was great and they didn’t ask us to do a million tasks upon checkout, which I appreciated. They only slight downsides are the bed sizes (2 bedrooms are listed as king beds and I’m not sure if it is a British size, but by American standards I would say all beds are queens), and the bathrooms while updated are quite small. The location is amazing and the apartment has good living space and is kept up well, so overall I would highly recommend this apartment.

I very much enjoyed this day. Having two bathrooms was very nice. Kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable and clean plenty of room for a family walking to Hyde Park and Notting Hill. The bus was nearby with a great coffee shop on the corner.

Great location in the heart of Notting Hill. Apartment was spacious, quiet and clean. Beds were super comfy and no city noise at night even with windows open. Host was incredibly responsive and organized, bathrooms and kitchen updated as well as a lift to get our heavy bags to the top floor. My only comment is that carpets have some dirt and stains and could use a cleaning. Otherwise, could not have been more pleasant.

Flat was wonderful for our group of 3. The tube was right around the corner along with a great coffee shop, Amazon food market, pubs and "to die for" italian restaurant. The lift was a definite plus! I would suggest that the carpeting be replaced as it does need an upgrade. Our host was very responsive and got back to us immediately

great neighborhood flat

The property manager was excellent. He responded immediately when we had our few questions. The flat was exactly as pictured and described, and we found the neighborhood safe, friendly, and we were 5 minutes from the nearest tube stop. Easy walking to Kensington Gardens, Portobello Rd. market, and a great neighborhood pub.

Quietest place ever!

If you are looking for a quiet place, full of comfort and clothes to the Portobello market place. This is it! Our family teams, and one senior parent stayed in this charming place. Full of comfort. The place is located a few blocks from the Portobello Market. You can arrive there in 3-5 minutes walking. Another addition is that it is close to Hyde park and Kensington Palace and the Tube.

Notting Hill vacation

We are a family of 6 and stayed at this property for our vacation in London. Communication was excellent with the owner, property was clean and as described. Very close to the Notting Hill underground, easy access to the circle and central lines. Grocery store and coffee shops down the street. Plenty of local pubs for dinner. Kensington Park close walk. Having the living room for all of us to relax at night was great. Elevator is small for the building but that is expected in London. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great location, needs some TLC

If you want to be in the heart of a great neighborhood that's accessible to the Tube and many landmarks, this is a great place to stay. But the property is tired and lacked many amenities I have experienced in other locations. There was no coffee when we arrived or even salt and pepper--we bought them ourselves. The hair dryer was not operable, so I bought another one and left it there for others to use. There are no king size beds in this property, despite what it says. Also, be aware that the overnight listing price isn't accurate. There are additional Host Fees that cost us an extra 500 pounds we weren't expecting. The VRBO fees are getting so out of hand--another 600 pounds on this property! Overall, it was fine. But I wouldn't stay there again.

Great stay

This property was great! We spent a lot of time out and about but the beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. We were please with the location and the fact that the water pressure was still great even on the 4th floor. It’s just off a Main Street but not once did we feel like it was loud and slept well. I’d definitely stay again.

wonderful location - some issues with the property

The location is wonderful and the property layout is fine. Accommodated 5 people easily. Owner helped us with timing issues that allowed us to start touring early. That was much appreciated. We had issues with some worn out items. The toilet broke and the dishwasher over flowed. The owner sent people to repair and not saying it was his fault. He was responsive. But the property is a bit worn. On the whole a great base to see London. near tube stations, restaurants and grocery stores.

Would not stay here again.

Our review of the stay is mostly negative.The first thing we noticed is that the actual flat is much more worn than the pictures make it look. The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it actually is. Carpet (held down by staples) was coming up off the floor, mirrors were cracked and shower splashguards were broken. Also, some of the furniture that appears in the photos is swapped out for other less appealing pieces. The posted pictures are misleading.Also, caution: the host allowed a real estate agent to show the property to presumed potential buyers while we were staying there, but conveniently did not mention until an hour before hand. It was extremely intrusive and unwelcome.The 5 flights of stairs to the front door got old after awhile. There is a very small lift, but it was awfully slow.One evening, there was a house party next door that was so loud we could feel the vibration from the music. This went on until 1 am. Not great!Pros are the location, within a block to Notting Hill Gate. There are also coffee shops and restaurants close by.

Excellent location

Location is outstanding, less than a block from a great corner coffee shop and about a block from the Notting Hill Gate underground station. Great communication with the host, restricted access to the building and an elevator to the top floor where the unit is located was great!

Perfect penthouse in Kensington

Enjoyable Stay

We had an enjoyable stay in Notting Hill for a long weekend. The area was very convenient and close to walk to everything. The house was easy to locate, the staff was extremely communicative and was an overall nice and comfortable apartment. We found it to be a bit more dated than the images showed on the listing, but overall was a lovely stay.

Nice, quiet flat - great location

We had a wonderful stay at this flat. It’s at the end of a quiet little street but around the corner and a short walk to the tube stop. The house is cute, and comfortable with a lovely terrace. Will definitely stay again.

Notting Hill

The flat was terrific and we even had a problem with water pressure which turned out to be a valve in the flat that was turned off slightly but the response to the issue was great. Really nice flat and good people.
