Listing was fraudulent. It was listed as having air conditioning - IT DID NOT! Having travelled to London multiple times prior and realizing that air conditioning may typically not be available, I searched for properties only that stated that air conditioning was provided, realizing it would cost more. Being elderly with health issues, this was very important to me and worth the extra cost. We paid approximately 40-50% more per night than like-properties without a/c. We booked for 4 nights. Upon arrival, the heat in the upstairs bedrooms was extreme. We contacted VRBO with the intention of relocating. The host intervened, and we agreed to stay after the host promised portable air conditioned units. The units did not show up until the next day and were not portable air conditioners by any stretch of the imagination. They were simply portable fans that sprayed water. They were ineffective as they increased the humidity to an uncomfortable level. After further discussions, the host offered a refund for a specific amount which I reluctantly accepted due to the demands of our travel schedule and the inconvenience of relocation. However, the host refunded only 80% of the promised amount, rationalizing that the reason was VRBO fees rather than what they had specifically promised. In addition, the check-in instructions were outdated and incorrect causing a 1 hour delay and resulting in us missing dinner prior to a show. Host consistently mislead!
