Awful. The place was dirty, the floor filthy. The sleeper sofa was broken. The springs were gone and generally uncomfortable. No cooking utensil, pan, oven trays. No welcome amenity basket IE with a small dish soap, washing machine or dishwasher tablets or tea and coffee sachets. Just two larger pots were provided. 2 out of the 5 dining chairs were broken. The bedrooms were ok, in our room furniture didn’t fit in the room, it was too big or the room was too small, so no room to move around in our room. My daughter’s room was very large with hardly any furniture in it. The outside doors to the patios didn’t lock properly. And there wasn’t a tv remote (that was the only thing the hotel was able to replace for us). The outdoor trash cans/ dumpsters (which was our view) were overflowing and there was trash everywhere in the extremely small parking lots. There were two large storage containers taking up a few parking spaces. If you couldn’t park in the lot, you had to pay for parking across the road. If we relocating from the states, and waiting for our rental house to become available, I would have left even sooner then we did(checked out 1 day early). On that note was told at checkout because I booked through Expedia they couldn’t change the # of nights so they would have to charge me for the entire stay. Yes we voices our concerns to the front desk about the situation and dirty rooms/missing items were told “we will try to replace them or come clean. Never did!

The property was described as having stunning views. The back view of a parking lots full of junk and rubbish, the front of the building is to a busy noisy road. The water in all drains (shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink) were very slow to drain. There was mould and dirt in the grout all around the shower. There was no service on site, we were three people and there were two towels, two mugs. No dishwasher soap, no kitchen towels or napkins.

This is the stunning view from the flat we were given. There was limited parking, we had to pay for parking elsewhere.

We booked this property for our trip to London while the property itself is refurbished. We did find out it used to be a refugee residence. It is extremely far away from London taking about an hour and a half through public transportation and in our plus through car or Uber just to get to the London area. There is very limited dining areas around the property but there are some options. It is important to note that there is absolutely no form of air conditioning and the small fans provided barely circulated any air causing us to leave the windows open and bugs to come in the first floor unit. We had also felt unsafe due to the fact that having the windows open allowed anyone walking by to be able to either stop and look or actually come into the unit. The back area of the apartment we were in was littered with garbage and definitely needed to be cleaned up. There is a beautiful section of the Thames River that you can rent boats and walk alongside overall. Unless you are planning to only visit the suburbs of London, I would not recommend staying as it is extremely expensive to get back to London and takes a ton of time

Ad very misleading, they tell you AFTER non refundable booking. Took one look at the horrible apartment and made other arrangements. 100% bait and switch. Laundry facilities are not in the apartments but communial, the bed was visibly lumpy, not clean, not safe for solo travels, locks were not sufficent, approx 4 parking spaces through dumpster area and horrible smell.

I liked that there were separate rooms to have our kids in another room. I liked that there was a washer and dryer. I liked that these was a full kitchen. Unfortunately, there were a few things I didn't like. Check in is in another hotel which is about 5 minutes away. In my situation it was an inconvenience because I had two young children with me and hauling our luggage to other location was not ideal. Luckily, my husband was with us so he stayed behind and they let us leave our luggage in that location until it was time for checkin. The elevators broke on the second day of our stay so we had to carry our luggage down the stairs. The washer/dyer left black stains on our clothes after our first wash. There was no air conditioner, the two small fans that were available for us where not working. We were also 45 minutes away from downtown but in traffic it can be up to two hours because there is no feeway and the speed limit is 20mph.

room was fine common areas were disgusting this property should not be on the Expedia web site items of clothing and rubbish strewn all over the floor If I could have booked into the hotel i would have but they were full Hampton Suites was the problem

Overall it was very good. There really needs to be a bedside light as I had to get out of bed to switch the light off. A door stop for the balcony door would also be useful.

The property was perfect for where we wanted to be, the sofa bed in the lounge was so uncomfortable and used it needed replacing and bathroom needed cleaning more thoroughly.

Good for the Price

The flat was fairly spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. The living room has a sofa bed, as well. Kitchen and living spaces were clean and tidy. The kitchen could have had more cooking equipment, considering it was a self-catering flat. For example, there was a pot but no colander! Local area was nice and people were friendly. Easy walk to several bus lines.

Not great!

Collection of keys is a bit of a palaver having to go to the hotel first. Apartment was on the ground floor and on entry smelled quite badly of tobacco smoke, despite being a non-smoking building. Apartment is fine with two seperate bedrooms but generally it was a bit tired with drink splashes on the walls which could do with a good clean and redecorating. The WiFi to the apartment was not working at all during our stay so working was impossible and the tv connection to streaming services was terrible. Some guests arrived at half past midnight and were exceptionally noisy, talking hands free on a mobile outside our bedroom window and arguing between themselves on entry to the building. The beds are lumpy and exceptionally warm, poor synthetic mattresses. On checking out I was asked how our stay was so I reported the WiFi and was told I should have connected! I won’t be staying here again.

Good location for us do to family nearby. Local pubs within 10 minute walk. Portsmouth Rd is noisy from vehicular traffic.

Bathroom wasn’t that clean, internet didn’t work, we opened the window as it was very hot, and someone tried to get in. My wife and daughter were in the room at the time.

Likes: Convenient location, communication with the staff in the nearby hotel was good and after a mistake made on the booking they were very helpful in resolution, there was a row of shops across the road for quick grocery items. Dislikes: Poor quality furniture. The bed was so close to the wall that one of us was unable to get in and out easily. The bathroom cabinet was not screwed to the wall so unless you were very careful you might pull it down on top of you in getting in and out of the shower. The car park was wholly inadequate resulting in us having to use the pay car park opposite (meant you needed to get out by 9 a.m. to avoid having to pay). The back door lock did not work so whilst egress was fine using the button, getting with the key didn't work, so a walk round to the front was required. Loo seat was loose. Loo itself was very low so old folks need to be aware that getting up and down wasn't so easy. Sofa in the main lounge was past its sell by date. Wouldn't recommend or return, there are so many better in the area.

Ironically the hotel you pick your keys up from is lovely and the staff efficient and attentitive. The headlines are that this is cheap accommodation, and for the money it is good enough with a decent amount of space, good beds and was squeaky clean on arrival. The details - The carpark you arrive in looks like a bombed out town in the middle east. Shipping containers dotted around, cracked concrete that slopes off into a void between the buildings and car park. An inconvenient walk around the building follows. A bent front door that doesn’t open or close very well greets you, followed by your flimsy apartment door secured with a single lock in the middle. The apartment was clean enough and looked quite new. But, everything was very cheap and cheerful. Cheap furniture, no bedside lamps, washing machine cupboard door hanging off, loose bathroom tap and a broken tv. The tea cups are comically big, and cooking equipment clean, but lacking. The couch was hard and small. One of the bedroom doors didn't close and the fridge was smelly because it was turned off. For the money is was ok, but I’d rather spend more to get more.

Needs a Revamp

Place looks tired. Floors and curtains etc worn out. The cue cards for the place out of date. Wi Fi password didn’t work so had to call the hotel. The heating controls different to the photo and two radiators never came on. The controls to the heating system didn’t work. The large lounge tv has a purple line going down the screen as the screen is going. Three parking spaces taken up by a portakabin. Would not recommend this place.
