We wanted to be in Borough to be close to family. Our first booking with another company fell through, but turns out this unit was even better. The communication with the property manager(s) was excellent, they were always quick to respond to any and all inquiries and were available through multiple different communication channels. The unit had everything we could need, including some things that weren't even listed like baby utensils, and either the host or previous tenants had left behind items like laundry detergent and coffee, etc. Location was excellent, right between Elephant & Castle and Kennington tube stations. A large Sainsbury's is just up the street, and tons of restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable enough, with quality linens and towels. Great hot water supply, though the bathroom is quite dark at night. Due to radiant heat in the building, even without heat on in our unit it was unbearably stuffy in October but there were some tower fans and we kept the windows open when we were home. The Dyson fan needs replacing, it's loud and broken. There is extensive water damage throughout the bedroom areas from a previous and ongoing leak that needs attention. Property management is aware, but guests should be too. I'd be concerned about the potential for mould. Doors don't open and shut as a result, due to swelling of the wood doors and floors. Also watch out for wild foxes and stray cats around. They're quite harmless but don't leave the back door open!
