There are so many flats to rent around London, it's very difficult to tell what will be good, vs what might be a scam. This flat was absolutely excellent for our family to explore London for the week. It was right next to the St. James's Park tube stop, and many busses stop nearby. It was very simple to get around. The immediate neighborhood isn't really a place you'd hang out, it's a bunch of government and embassy workers. But it doesn't matter, because a 5 minute walk and you're at Big Ben, 15 minute bus to Soho or other great places, and a 20 minute tube to virtually anywhere. Strange: it's VERY quiet at night. Like, shockingly quiet. If you're used to the background noise in NYC, there's nothing like that. You can practically hear passers-by whisper if they happen to walk under the window at night. Kitchen works well, it's great to do laundry. Very comfortable. Some other folks in the building and workers on the street smoke a lot of cigarettes, so we had to pay attention to leaving the windows open if they were smoking. Other than that, there was nothing to it. Highly recommended.
