Set in the heart of historic Alfama, Lisbon’s most authentic neighbourhood, just steps from some of the city’s best-known monuments.

Located on the ground floor, this intimate one-bedroom apartment was designed as a romantic retreat for two.

It features a romantic bedroom with a double bed, separated from the living area by a golden “gaiola pombalina”, a traditional wooden structure introduced in Lisbon’s buildings following the 1755 earthquake.

The accommodation also includes a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy private patio, the perfect setting for breakfast or a peaceful evening.

The apartment is rich in traditional Portuguese character. Decorative ceilings, vintage furniture, Portuguese tiles, golden details and original artwork create a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere.

Original oil paintings and lines from poems, song lyrics and traditional fado appear throughout the apartment, creating a unique setting inspired by art, music and literature.

Bed linen, towels, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion are provided. Amenities include Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, coffee machine, toaster and hairdryer. The apartment is equipped with a home alarm system and a safe box for your convenience.

An additional interior door has been installed to improve sound insulation and provide greater comfort in this lively historic neighbourhood.

Since the apartment is located in a historic area, cars are not permitted on the narrow street. However, the nearest point for a taxi or Uber drop-off (at the Fado Museum) is just a 3-minute walk away.
