this is a beautifully appointed apartment in a great location in Lisbon. Beware, when you enter the lobby that you’re entering a significant construction zone and it looks deserted. The apartment is quite comfortable, but if you’re staying for more than a few days, you’re going to need to stop up on things like toilet paper, salt any kind of kitchen or bathroom amenity. agree with the previous reviewer that the light switches are numerous and a bit of a mystery!

We very much enjoyed staying at this VRBO for 10 days in January. On the positive side, the location is perfect, on a flat, fairly quiet street, but still steps from restaurants and shopping and central to every place that you’d want to go. The apartment is exactly as pictured, elegantly appointed and decorated and furnished. There has been great care to preserve many very charming features such as the exposed stone. The beds are comfortable and the apartment feels spacious. On the negative side, there is a long list of things that detracted, but each one was of only very small effect - the coffee machine doesn’t work, the towel drying rack was completely missing a plug (with a dangling wire), a number of light bulbs are missing entirely, the dimmer light switches were so baffling that we never figured out how to turn some on or others off, there are no instructions for this, or for the TV, the appliances, etc., and there are no condiments, not even salt. With attention to these small details, this would be a perfect place to stay and, regardless, the positives outweigh the negatives so much that we’d choose this same place if we visit Lisbon again.

I’m giving one star only because of the location—but that hardly matters since there are plenty of hotels in the area. I would avoid staying with GuestReady at all costs.We chose this place mainly because it had two bathrooms. However, as soon as we arrived, we discovered the guest shower didn’t work and was flooding the entire bathroom. I contacted GuestReady immediately, provided photos, and explained the issue. They told me they would review it and send someone to fix it, but throughout our stay (Nov 14–21), I never received any updates. I continued following up and requested compensation since the shower was completely unusable.When we checked out on the 21st, GuestReady asked again for “a bit more detail,” and I repeated the situation. Then, on the 25th—four days after I was already home—they said someone had finally been sent to fix the issue. When I again requested compensation, they told me on December 2 that they wouldn’t compensate me because the problem was supposedly fixed while I was still there. Really? If that were true, why was I never informed, and why was the bathroom still flooding on the 16th?Overall, it was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. And if you do end up here, be prepared to spend several minutes figuring out the confusing light switches. Also, the shower is an open design, so you’ll need towels to stop the bathroom from getting soaked—towels they only provide for a fee, unless you

The location was ok but a few minor issues in the apartment.. hopefully the host has had a chance to get these issues looked after.I could have used more bath towels & a 2nd set of keys. We were only minutes away from many restaurants and a little supermarket.

Nice place, convenient location, but not for people over 50

“Short flight of stairs” isn’t an accurate description. 17 steep, marble stairs with luggage is very, very difficult. If you take too long to get into the apartment, the entryway light goes out. No amenities to speak of. 2 tea bags, no sugar. No hand soap in the bathrooms. The apartment is updated, with great water pressure in the showers. Lots of lighting, often difficult to understand. Clothes washer but no soap. Pictures reflect how the apartment looks. .

Our overall stay was very good. The apartment was beautiful, very spacious for a family of 4, clean, walkable to a lot of the tourist sites, tons of dining options and surprisingly quiet at night for being so central. The only minor issue we had was with the hot water. For some reason, after 15 minutes of showering, there is no hot water.

Lisbon Stay

Overall this was a great place to stay. Most things were within walking distance. The only issue we had was there wasn’t enough lighting in the apartment. It was quite dark on the inside.

Très bel appartement idéalement placé.

Tout s’est bien passé. Il faudrait prévoir davantage de verres et de couverts dans la cuisine. Le grille pain et la cafetière nespresso sont HS. A remplacer.
