EXCELENTE ALOJAMIENTO.

Apartamento confortable, bien equipado y en una zona tranquila pero bien ubicada y comunicada de Lisboa. Los dueños excelentes personas e inmejorables anfitriones, José se encarga de hacerte sentir como en casa. Muy recomendable.

We didn’t rent a car so we didn’t need to park. There are little stores and cafe’s around the corner. José’ was great in welcoming us with wine and treats and information about the area.

We had a wonderful time at this property! The hosts were extremely accommodating. Gave us a warm welcome and tutorial when we arrived. They were always prompt in answering our questions. Short walk to the bus and small local shops.

A Lovely Out-of-the Way Place to Stay

This property worked out well for two friends who wanted to explore Lisbon without staying in the heart of the city. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, we came back to our lovely apartment and spent a lot of time upstairs in the second level of our garden. We got around town by using Ubers that were readily available and prompt. The one slight drawback for me was that the neighborhood where this Vrbo is located didn't have that much to offer. We could walk to some mini-marts and a few restaurants but it wasn't the kind of neighborhood where you could spend a day stumbling in and out of interesting places.

Simply beautiful

Beautiful, clean, and well-equipped accommodation with a personal touch. We were personally and very warmly welcomed by José. Our stay at Graça Garden Home was perfect and we felt very comfortable.

Lovely oasis

This apartment is everything we needed as a base in Lisbon. we were able to walk to a great grocery,lovely little restaurants, and our host was wonderful . He organized a private day long tour to Sintra and Cascais with a wonderful guide . The neighborhood is middle between types of housing .we felt very safe but lots of construction and a little bit of garbage problem because of it . I would stay there again. It has the most surprising lovely private garden ever and the host is wonderful.

Très bon séjour chez José

Très bon séjour chez José, l’appartement est très fonctionnel. Bien qu’il ne soit pas en plein centre-ville, il est très facile de s’y rendre. Les extérieurs sont très agréables ! L’accueil et les échanges avec José sont été géniaux, je recommande !

Perfect location to stay with a family

Jose was a wonderful host. We appreciated that he greeted us at the door and gave us a tour of the house. The wine, beer, and not just a stocked kitchen but some of the extra things we could use was very helpful. It was a perfect location for us to stay with a 1.5 year old. The beds were comfy and getting around was very easy. Parking was a bit tricky at night, but during the day it wasn't an issue and the location was very convenient to get on and off the major nearby roads. Getting to a bus stop was just 2 blocks away. Walking to the busier areas of Lisbon was not hard and taking the 735 bus back up to the house was very easy. The house was very comfortable to stay in. The backyard area was very nice. We enjoyed dinners back there. It really made the whole place feel more spacious. We were there during June when festivals were very common. We never had issues with noise. People in the neighborhood were friendly. We would easily recommend Graça Garden Home to friends and hope to come back again someday.

Comfortable, spacious apartment in authentic neighbourhood with wonderful host

Jose,the host,couldn't be more helpful. He provided dried goods like pasta, olive oil condiments etc - and a bottle of wine and 2 traditional custard tarts as a welcome gift. He also drove us around Graca to orientate us as well as showing us a local short cut which made accessing the local facilities more straightforward. He also took us to the airport on departure without charge. The apartment is at the top of one of Lisbon's many hills so you need a car/taxis (which are very reasonably priced) to get back up to the address - unless you are pretty fit! But it is in a cul-de-sac so is quiet and there is a terrific view of the sea from the street. Buses go from the nearest main road and the iconic 28 tram from a few streets further on. Lisbon is a fantastic city with so much to see and do - and this year is the 50th anniversary of Portugal's peaceful revolution in 1974. There is a small museum about the resistance movement - the Museo do Aljube - which describes the repressive conditions suffered by the population before democracy was won. Absolutely fascinating. And on a lighter note - don't miss seeing the views from the many "miradouros" - viewing points, they are stunning. All in all, a lovely stay in a wonderful city.

We had a lovely time! José is very kind and lovely, and had a binder ready with lots of recommendations. The place was very well stocked, and he has great attention to detail. He welcomed us with our very first pastel de nata which was delightful.

Magic garden home

The apartment is comfortable, the gardens in the back so perfect for breakfast and when you get home at night. It was easy to grab Ubers to/from and we had the best meal at a restaurant near by. Grocery stores close also. The host is amazing, had wine, and some essentials for us (so thoughtful). He explained what was around and was so accessible if needed. Alough it feels funny to get to the neighborhood the first time, you will be happy to stay here. I would come back!

Oasis in Lisbon

We loved staying in this peaceful oasis of green and calm for a long weekend in April. Jose gave us a warm welcome and excellent restaurant recommendations and he and his daughter Joana were very responsive in all communications before and during our stay. The apartment is located on the edge of Graça which is lively with plenty of good restaurants and some of the best rooftop views of the city. The city centre is around half an hour's walk away through the historic old town of Alfama; all downhill on the way there, but you need strong legs and lungs to walk all the way back up! Ubers are a very cheap option though in Lisbon, certainly compared to the UK. Back at the apartment, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the shower excellent, and it was wonderful to have a choice of outside spaces, including the green shady garden, to recover from a busy day of sightseeing. We would highly recommend Graça Garden Home!

Very accommodating host that communicated clearly. Not in the center of town but easy to get to the main attractions. Close to mass transit and walkable neighborhood. Nice garden area as part of the apartment.

Wonderful apartment

Beautiful apartment on the ground floor, with two large bedrooms. The garden and patio space at the rear, for the exclusive use of this apartment, is a wonderful place to have morning coffee or an evening drink before going to a fado restaurant. It was all spotlessly clean, and the host kindly provided welcome drinks and pastries for us. The kitchen is well equipped, and there were various stockroom items for us to use (although the food is Lisbon was so good that we didn’t use the kitchen!). Excellent shower with powerful flow, and lots of hot water. Information about sights and attractions is available in folders on the apartment bookcases. If there are any questions that those leaflets don’t answer, the host will help - he was kind enough to provide us with restaurant recommendations and information about taxis for our very early departure to the airport. The apartment is well located. There is a small cafe a few metres away and for morning coffee, and it’s a 10minute walk (only a little uphill) to a tram stop for the famous 28 yellow tram that takes you to see all the sights of Lisbon. It is a little longer to walk to Santa Apolonia station and the waterfront, but down a very steep hill - a taxi is recommended if you can arriving there and want to come to the flat! There was no traffic or other noise at all, despite the flat being at ground level. The host couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful, and I would recommend this apartment to anybody visiting Lisbon.

Excellent place to stay

The apartment is clean, quiet and spacious for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed. Jose met us, checked us in and gave us the names of good restaurants. The garden is very special. Our only hesitation is the location — you need to be willing to take a taxi/Uber or walk a half-hour to get to the downtown areas. We didn’t have a car (driving one in Lisbon looked suicidal). Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place and host!

Jose was the best host! He met us at the door, showed us around the place, had wine and bread for us in the apartment, and then took us for a walk for several blocks to see some close by sites, share some of the culture of his city, point out good markets and a bakery, and then we had a coffee! We've never been greeted like this, as if we were old friends! Jose always responded quickly to questions on vrbo. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. The garden/patio area was so nice to sit in at night while we enjoyed a glass of wine, some fruit, cheese and bread. It's a bit of a walk to the most popular areas downtown (20-30 minutes) but we like to hike so it was ok by us (and we could eat more pastries and bread!). The outside area on the walk to downtown is a bit trashy which can be surprising when you first come from the airport. Unfortunately this is how much of Lisbon is outside of the tourist areas. It's such a beautiful city, though, so look at those parts. This was one of the best places we've ever stayed in and much of that was due to Jose's warm welcome and help. If we get back to Lisbon, we would absolutely stay here again. Obrigado Jose!

this location was close to transit and lovely local restaurants and cafes; we were four people and did not mind sharing a bathroom...there was lots of space our host was most gracious and left thoughtful little treats for us - wine, bread and fruit were wonderful after a long journey; José was also very responsive and we did not wait long for answers to our questions
