Experiencia Magnífica

Experiencia magnífica. Paulo es un anfitrión excepcional y muy acogedor, te hace sentir en casa ya desde el momento de tu reserva. Su casa está en plena Alfama con un servicio excelente en un torno muy entrañable. El apartamento está reformado y con todo lo que se necesita para un viaje inolvidable a Lisboa. Paulo, por otra parte, es una persona muy disponible, incluso ha venido a recogernos al Aeropuerto de Lisboa. Es una persona atenta y amable, que cuida los detalles y que está presente si se le necesita para cualquier duda. Además, es un muy buen anfitrión a la hora de explicar Lisboa y Alfama, también de cara a qué visitar y dónde comer. Un anfitrión con mayúsculas que nos ha hecho de Lisboa una experiencia inolvidable.

Paulo is a fantastic host. From picking us up at the airport to offering advice on where to eat/things to do, simply top notch. Even after leaving Paulo still offers suggestions or help whilst still in Portugal. And if you want a true Alfama experience staying on a pedestrian only road is not to be missed

What a delightful first time experience in Lisbon! Paulo was an exceptional host, and far exceeded our expectations! From our first ride to the airport to helping us with so many requests he was amazing in every way and made our experience 10 times better than it could’ve been. The apartment was cozy, clean, and quaint in every way. We Loved the charm of the location, and the sounds echoing through the alleyways. This was a perfect beginning of an unforgettable holiday!

Paulo was an exceptional host. He met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment. The apartment is located on a pedestrian only alleyway of Alfama, giving you the experience of being totally immersed in the neighborhood. we took advantage of the neighboring businesses, including a gelato, stand a gift store, a small grocery, and a small but high-quality restaurant all within three or four doors of the apartment.The apartment itself is comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful week in Lisbon!

Host was great. Met us close by and showed us to the apartment. Very nice apartment and great location. Host gave lots of suggestions of where to go, what to do, good restaurants. He also arranged a cab for us to the airport. Was a great place to stay.

Charming and full of character. Great location — central but peaceful — with excellent food and coffee options just minutes away. The apartment offers privacy yet easy access to everything. Comfortable bed and nice shower. The host was very helpful, always easy to contact, and the airport pickup was a wonderful touch. Soap would have been a nice addition, and the linen is starting to feel a little tired, but overall a lovely stay.

Location location location. The Alfama neighborhood of this apartment is magical. Opening up directly into a warren of alleyways, stores and family run eateries - it really seems like a movie set more than real life and we loved it. Walkable to everything and our host Paulos guidance and exceptional commitment to making our stay special really set the stage for a wonderful set of adventures in Lisbon and the surrounding area.

We stayed here for nine days and loved every minute. Upon arrival the host picked us up at the airport and assisted us with getting into the apartment. It is located up a narrow alley and up a steep flight of stairs so the assist was necessary. The apartment is located in the heart of the Alfama. You can easily walk to countless restaurants, bars, museums and public transportation. Lisbon is extremely hilly so wear comfortable walking shoes at all times.The apartment had everything we needed. Bedroom, kitchen, living room were comfortable and clean. The apartment is small but has everything you need. Excellent WIFI and streaming on television (we never used the TV as we were able to stream on our iPad.The washing machine came in handy and we were able to pack lighter. You hang your clothes out the window on a clothesline over the alley. It was a first for me. We were taking a cruise at the end of our stay. The cruise terminal was close and we were able to walk to the ship. Literally a five minute walk.Train station is close. A ten minute walk to the water and we got on a jump-on, jump-off boat and were able to explore the water front for miles.I want to add some information about safety. We have traveled around the world. I have never felt safer in any big city. That being said you must take precautions. But we were comfortable walking around day and evening in the Alfama. About getting around. Uber Black is the way to go. three minute wait.

Lively Alfama

The best thing about our stay was our host, Paulo. Communication was fantastic and having him pick us up from the airport was a “1O”! Although Paulo had warned us about a steep set of stairs to enter the property, we would never have made it up the stairs with our heavy suitcases if it weren’t for his help. Although the room was small it had everything we needed and works for 2 small sized people in a double bed. It was great to be able to do laundry and hang the wash on a typical European clothes line. The only problem we had is that we booked the place when a big festival was taking place the whole month of June and there was loud music and even louder people in the alleyway right below our windows from about 8 pm til at least 1 in the morning Friday, Saturday and Sunday - not sure what it was like during the week.

Small but efficient Alfama apt.

Three of us enjoyed our stay in this small apt. in a great location a few steps from the Fado museum. We hope to return sometime. Our friends recommend it to us and so do we to others.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Paulo was the perfect host from the day I booked up to arrival. He was available for questions 24/7 gave us so many tips which made our stay so much more enjoyable. Alfama is the perfect neighborhood for us. We will be back and hope to stay longer next time with Paulo.

Alfama Experience

We had a great stay at Paulo's apartment. Nicely located in the middle of the action in Alfama. Small narrow streets and great atmosphere. It is a second floor apartment with a steep stairwell but being in our sixties we were able to navigate easily. Paulo was the exemplary host providing guidance for new visitors to Lisboa. Thanks again Paulo!

Fascinating area to stay in with tiny winding streets and stairs, lots of stairs! Not a place for folks who have mobility issues. A little noisy as our apartment was above a restaurant and bar. Our host , Paulo was great! Picked us up and drove us back to the airport.

Enjoyed our stay. Paulo was great and was there to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the apartment for a full orientation. He also provided a lot of information about the neighborhood and sites to see in the area.

Excellent Host and Great Location

The apartment was in a perfect location for us in historic Alfama and an easy walk to the cruise port terminal (we were booked on a cruise right after our stay). The location also provided easy access to many of downtown Lisbons highlights and access to trains and metro. The area around the apartment could be noisy at night but not too bad and it gave us a flavour of local life. Paolo was an excellent host, he picked us up from the airport and gave us lots of useful information and great recommendations for authentic Portuguese restaurants. He really cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to ensure they have a wonderful stay.
