Get what you pay for
My title is meant with love and warning. When I booked, I had a certain expectation of what I'd see when we got here. I was pretty accurate. This room looks like it was part of 2B at one point and got divided off into it's own studio. It was in an awkward place to get to. You can't get to it from the building labeled "Seahorse." You have to go through the door between Whale and Starfish, thought the courtyard, down a small flight of stairs, around to the larger flight and back up one level. Then you can get to the room. The porch has the outlet for the gas fireplace for both this room and 2B. And if you sit right in front of them (theoat logical places to sit for the flow of movement on the porch), you will be smelling gas the whole time. There is a huge patch job above the door that still hasn't been taken care of (previous renter mentioned it back in Sept 2024 too). There is only a microwave, mini fridge, no real table to sit at, only one chair inside, and the bathroom is super tiny. However, all that said that is exactly what I expected to find, for the price. The view is absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and perfect for just my husband and me to share, kid free for the weekend. If you don't mind a hike up the hill, the access to the beach isn't too far. At low tide, there are tide pools straight out from the stairs/ramp down to the beach. There are a LOT of spiral sea snails , hermit crabs, and smooth oblong sea snails.
