Description is deceiving, it is neither a studio apartment nor a condo as described, that would imply a full studio apartment with a kitchen. These are old motel rooms with a bathroom and a closet with a microwave stacked on a fridge. They also provided a drip coffee machine. Having said that, it was an OK deal for proximity to the beach and allowing dogs. But from the listing, I thought it was a screaming deal, which it is not. The motel property is showing it's age despite being remodeled recently as they claimed. There is no AC, which luckily was not needed and the steam from the shower set off the smoke alarm. Of you arrive late, you likely will have to park far from your room and walk a ways uphill since there is not dedicated parking per unit, first come, first serve.

STAY LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!

Firstly, I saw the reviews…. I knew this place was going to be run down and not have any amenities. I was totally ok with that. But when I got there the unit clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There was human hair, dog hair, and sand everywhere. Not a big deal I cleaned it all and moved on. The next morning the microwave caught fire and started arching while we used it. I have a special needs toddler who is very picky, so I needed a microwave to feed him. I called Vacasa, who actually manages this place, and they gave me the run around. I spent 5 hours that day trying to get a new microwave for the room on the phone with them. The next morning they finally came and replaced the microwave. The next morning sewage started backing up in the toilet, sink and shower. It was the entire building, not just our unit. I called Vacasa, and VRBO to try and get a remedy. Spent another 4 hours on the phone trying to get them to give me at least a partial refund and find us a new place to stay for our last night. Literally everyone I talked to, managers included, were rude and dismissive and refused to help me. They promised they’d update me, but never did. Finally I was able to track down on site maintenance and they let us know that they couldn’t fix the issue and we’d be called by Vacasa because they’d find us a replacement place to stay. Well surprise surprise they didn’t. They did give us a refund, but I had to drive over 12 hours home. There’s so much more but I’ve reached the character lim

The room was was clean, but very small and terribly maintained. The bed was a very old spring mattress that creaked whenever I moved, and had me waking up sore and unrested. Walls were full of scuff marks, chipping paint, terrible patch jobs and even a hand print. The bathroom had writing (or mold, I couldn't exactly tell) behind the door. There was no towel rack- just a couple brackets where one had been. The fixtures were rusty. The light in the bathroom was missing the cover-- so it was just a hole in the ceiling with a lot of dust. There was no grout between the tiles or around the tub. I could go on, but I'll leave it at that... The office was not open during my stay, so there was no one to speak to about the issues-- I tried calling the local number, but was rerouted to a call center for all Vacasa properties- they told me to call the local number (which is what I had just done) and they couldn't do anything about switching rooms but they said they would "forward the information" to the property management. Never got a call back. People were smoking on decks, so a lot of cigarette smoke wafting into the room. There was no view. There were no curtains-- just a sheer curtain cover, so no privacy and couldn't do much about sunlight. The people above us were not loud but there was no sound proofing, so I could hear every step, hear them talking, and hear them having sex. Tried to cancel the reservation more than 2 days in advance but they only give a refund if it's 30 days!

Great Trip

Other than discovering dirty sheets the first night. I ended up using my own blankets and pillow. Was taken care of right away. Room was limited view of ocean. Sink wouldn't drain. All fixable situations. Met some great people on site. Thanks so much!

Weekend stay

Perfect for just me, I cannot imagine having four people in the room. The walls Are paper thin. I could hear neighbors conversations as if they were in my room. Sliding back door doesn’t lock, found the bar the comes down. Reached out to Vacasa, never received a response. Neighbors left dogs alone that barked for hours. I didn’t bother calling management since I had received no response about the door.

Not a family friendly place to stay... party's going on in apartments all around... our neibor had pit pulls that got aggressive when we tried to sit in the balcony area... Wrong products used to clean a pet friendly place... smelled musty, garbage, earrings, shoes left behind in the common hallway.... no parking music blasting all night

Hand Prints on the Wall above the Bed

When we arrived the property was filthy. The door and hallway leading to the room was surprisingly dirty. In the room the floor was not clean, the doors and walls had not been cleaned or even wiped down, there was parts of the leather couch that had not been wiped off and had some sort of yuck on it. There were hand prints on the wall above the bed. The room smelled so bad we had to sleep with the sliding glass door open. We arrived late at night and had no other option we had to stay. We promptly left in the morning and could/would not stay there our planned second night. I have never asked for a refund for anywhere that I have stayed and I would for this one but I have not talked to anyone in person about this property, everything is electronic. I assume that is because the property is so disgusting that they feel bad renting it.

Easy and Convenient but dirty

I often stay in these condos and usually my experience is great, but this time I was disappointed. The mini fridge froze everything, the microwave did not work, the toilet barely flushed, and the only lamp flickered constantly because of a broken switch. The walls were dirty. The curtains that covered the sliding glass door were sheer and not wide enough for the door so they offered no privacy and did not keep the sun out. Additionally, our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We did not spend a lot of time in our room so it didn't ruin our trip, but it was certainly disappointing.

Too hot, too loud and couldn’t sleep

The dogs were so noisy from the neighbors and the walls are very thin. I had a very hard time sleeping. It was so hot I was sweating at night.

Cute and comfy room

While the walls are thin I actually enjoyed my stay. The bed could use an upgrade as it creaks when you sit on it and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable. There's a great breeze from the patio. If you add a screen to the slider that would be awesome to help with mosquitoes etc from getting in.

It served its purpose

The room was clean and the pictures were accurate. The cost was reasonable. Parking was tight! Bathroom ceiling and wall showed signs of water damage upon arrival. That night we returned to a wet bathroom floor and water dripping from the ceiling. Made a phone call to alert the property manager and he was able to make arrangements for another room for the second night. We had a busy schedule of events and just needed a place to sleep. It served its purpose.
