Worth the cheaper price than direct with resort

I booked here for the cheaper rate than through the resort itself. We still had access to all resort amenities and could charge things to our room reservation, which was nice. It was quiet and comfortable. The shades over the patio door provided sufficient darkness for sleeping in.h commentary to the property owner is: this room could use an instruction booklet - we couldn’t get the safe to work, couldn’t get the TV to work, there was a dehumidifier with no instructions, the closet had chairs and a cooler and snorkel gear but we aren’t sure what for and didn’t see reason to use them. The room was generally clean, though the extra blanket had clearly not been washed in awhile - it was covered in long hairs. There was no fan in the bathroom so everything stayed kind of moist. Also the bathroom door is basically a closet door so there was very little privacy for bathroom use.

It felt very safe and was extremely pretty and well kept. The beach had a wonderful view of the sunrise. The parking was not the best a very long walk from our room and expensive. Would definitely consider staying here if we ever go back. It was centerarly located for us.

This was absolutely a great stay! The location of this condo was incredibly convenient for all the things we had planned for our honeymoon! And the owner of this property was super informative of all property details. Along with the resort provided towels this owner had extra towels handy since the resort doesn’t provide towel service to privately owned condos so that what a HUGE plus! When we make it back here on another anniversary trip we will for sure rebook! The resort had plenty of amenities that you have complete access to as long as they are not the resort activities. Such an amazing stay!

Awesome property!

This is a privately owned room at a really good resort. The pools and hot tubs were amazing, and the view from the patio was amazing (garden view and you can see the ocean). The host is easy to work with and keeps the lines of communication open and responsive. If this property is available you have to rent it, you will not regret it!

Unit location was great

The unit is on a corner spot of the building with close proximity to the pool and beach. The restaurants and beach area were great- we traveled to other parts of the island and appreciated how quiet this location was. Unfortunately the room itself was not very clean and there was a smell coming from the closet area that we couldn’t figure out. Communication with the manager was good in the beginning but then we stopped hearing from them. Someone came into our room to remove the pack and play that we thought the smell was coming from- which was fine, but we were not told anyone would be stopping by and coming while we were out of the room. There were several noticeable things in the room that showed it was not cleaned well. We feel this is more a reflection of the resort and less on the vrbo folks since we assume resort housekeeping cleans the room; but we were disappointed in the lack of communication after the first day.

Beautiful resort with amazing beach access!

We will definitely be back! The property is beautiful and the beach access was the best. Crystal was great to work with, she even let us do a late checkout when our flight got delayed. I'd definitely recommend this property to friends 😊

Great Relaxing Time

My husband and I booked this one-week trip mainly for rest and relaxation. This resort is beautiful. The room is close to the beach, Drift Bar, and pools. The resort automatically charges an 18% gratuity for everything you order. We rented a car from a local since Uber and taxis are not reliable on the island. There is a $34 charge per day though to park here. The staff is amazing. The room could use some updates. We loved it so much that we plan to come back as soon as possible.

If you like walking out the door to multiple pools and a nice beach it’s perfect. I mistakenly (thought for sure the pictures showed) assumed we chose a room with a kitchenette but, upon arrival, learned otherwise. Having a toddler, cooking in the room would have been nice. The hotel visitors get different privileges that the VRBO guests do not. Pool towels at the pool, one serving of coffee for entire stay, no clean towels without extra charge… disappointing. We had ants in our bathroom and the tv was frustratingly hard to use. I would think twice before staying here again.

Beautiful resort

We had a great time here.The personnel is outstanding,the food very good and the pool area is very pleasant.The only thing I didn't appreciate was the noise and the music: it would be nice if it were more quiet.Plus a wedding which lasted late at night with an awful boom boom music for hours.

Polish doesn’t match finish

Overall the room was adequate. All aspects of the property are a bit dated. While the restaurants are nice they are extremely pricey, they do not meet the same level of the property overall. The landscaping is well manicured, almost to a fault, with daily trimming and blowing (noise). That is a minor inconvenience. The sand pool has visible exposed underlay, it could use another covering of sand. The amenities in the room are very minimal and a bit disappointing. Unfinished paint in the room. The towels used for both the room and pool are very dated and worn. The sliding door shutters could use some lubricant, as they squeak terribly. Mind you, these are very nit picky. But addressing these things would raise the bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great stay celebrating our 25th anniversary!

We had a great stay here!! Sunrises were beautiful and loved listening to the waves with the sliding door open! If we are ever back in Kauai would definitely stay here again!

This is a hotel room, so there is no kitchen or really any things I would typically expect from a VRBO (microwave, cutlery, etc). The room is pretty outdated and we saw ants coming under our door multiple times. The pools and the resort are nice but the beach isn’t great.

Beautiful grounds and property

Our stay at the Kauai Beach Resort and Spa via VRBO was great. The check in process and communication leading up to our arrival went smoothly. Crystal was very accommodating to any questions we had and was very quick to respond. My only feedback is for the actual room we were in. Quite outdated. Could use a remodel throughout. Great location of the room on the ground level for easy access to the resort pool, bar, and beach for sunrise in the morning.

Absolute Paradise

This is a hotel room at a very nice resort, so the check in process was a bit confusing since we are in a room owned by the host and not the resort. But the resort is BEAUTIFUL, the location is wonderful, the pools and property well kept, and the staff very friendly. Had zero complaints about the room, the microwave is a little tricky to get to but we were dining out so that wasn’t a huge issue. The beach is very close, but it’s not the greatest beach so don’t plan on laying out there for hours. Thankfully there are many other much nicer public beaches within a 5-10 mile drive. We had an amazing time in paradise!

The hotel is in construction repairs from 9am to 4pm now until a year from now . Good luck with sleeping, the noise can be heard quite well at the pool , at the restaurant and at your room. The lobby is very nice 4 star the rest is a 2 star. The resort should charge 4 stars when they are a 2 star resort. The beach is bad compared to other properties.

The best location and resort stay

The resort was incredible, and the room was just perfect for our stay. Everything went well, and we couldn't believe how perfect the location of our room was ( i.e close to pools and the beach). In a nutshell, it's given us an impression as if we lived in such a fantastic place.

Great price for Hawaii

There are no complaints on this place for the price you pay it’s worth every penny and we would come again. We had a wonderful time and the room is close enough to hear and view the ocean. The resort has great amenities available. The mini fridge was a great size for all needs for the size of the room. We wish there was a microwave in the room but there is a public one at the resort. Also we wish there were supplied coffee filters / ground coffee (they supply one for your first pot) for the room, but the resort has a Starbucks so it made up for it. Although we did not use them, We appreciated the available folding camping chairs in the closet in case we needed them. Thanks for making this available.
