The hotel is really good, we certainly recommend. Very friendly staff (specially at the restaurant), which I have to say it is not usual in CZ. They were very thoughtful leaving us a welcoming note and providing a nice fluffy teddy bear for my son to play during the stay. I have to mention also the free welcome drink, very nice. Comfortable bed an good quality sheets. Full of amenities. Fully automated, both room amenities and check-in and check-out process, which is very interesting and practical. Delicious food at the restaurant with honest prices. Good breakfast.

Revitalized older building close to downtown
We stayed in Liberec while trying to track down ancestors from the mid-1800's. This hotel was conveniently located near downtown, but not so close as to make it impossible to get in and out. The hotel does have paid parking in a lot just across the street. We arrived Sunday night and the reception desk said we could just park on the street overnight. The room was European in size, with enough room between the wall and the end of the beds for one person to pass only. Couldn't get the HVAC system to respond effectively, so just opened the windows to control room temperature. Perhaps a little too trendy with automated LED lights and curtains. The lights actually came on at 2AM, but did shut off on their own. A short walk down the hill provides plenty of dining and shopping opportunities. The hotel restaurant had a very good breakfast as well. The hotel worked fine for what we needed.

The staff was outstanding, the rom was immaculately kept, the breakfast was wonderful, and adjacent parking was abundant, affordable and secure. We were upgraded to a "designer" room. Although it was large with excellent bedding and bathroom, the layout was a little quirky. If the designer had spent a week living in the room as we did, she might have decided on a more convenient layout. But overall we were very pleased.

Suits those preferring design to functionality
The room was great and the breakfast even better! You could even make your own apple and carrot juice, something I’ve not seen in another Czech hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The elevator was a bit annoying as there was only one for the hotel and most of the time the cleaners seemed to be using it! The only issue we had was dodgy electrics in the room. The remote control for the curtains never worked so reception told us to just open and close them manually. The ceiling lights would periodically go on and off independently of each other. The disco style coloured lights round the TV decided to come on on two occasions after we’d fallen asleep ensuring we woke up in the middle of the night. The room was designed based on designer needs rather than user needs from my perspective, but was comfortable and good enough for us!

We spent one week here, using Liberec as a base for exploring the city, hiking in the mountains around it, and visiting nearby cities and sites as well. We booked one of the so-called designer room, which I highly recommend. Our corner room was spacious and quiet. Views from the hotel are not spectacular. Service, however, was another thing. Many of the hotel stuff we came across were defensive and not willing to help. There was something very rigid in the type of responses we got (usually a "no"), and even positive responses were given reluctantly. Are local calls made from the room free? "yes." Ask the same question the following day, and it is "no". Can someone help us book a spa appointment in Czech? "no, that should speak English at the spa." Of course they didn't - we tried. Unhelpful and curt - that's the reception for you. Room cleaning was another issue: during our one week stay, amenities were never replenished (we bought our own soap), carpet never vacuumed, and we found out that the wine and water glasses were cleaned in the bathroom sink, not replaced with fresh ones. Poor customer service. Breakfast was the same every morning. Vegetarians beware - it's all about meat here. Vegans - forget about it. The first morning I dared ask for an omelet - the evil looks I received were enough to dissuade me from asking for anything special in subsequent mornings.

Best hotel in the area of Liberec!

If I did not injure myself in one of the design rooms on the 3rd floor I would have given a higher rate to this property. The problem is the step front of the bathtub which is very dangerous. This deck should be removed in every single designed room because of potential guests may fall hitting against the edge of the bathtub as it happened to me. Other then that the hotel is good, staff very helpful with tasty breakfast.

I would look else where for stay.
Ac didn't work in the entire hotel. Alot of traffic noise. Had to sleep with the window open just to cool off the room. Very small for the superior room that was booked. Parking across the street kind of a pain to move luggage over train tracks to get to hotel. Nothing close to hotel. Outside appearance was nice but not like the surrounding area very run down. Breakfast was good. Clean and modern common area.

A very modern hotel in the heart of the city
The hotel is virtually in the centre of the city and it is particularly convenient when you come by train. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful. However, there is slightly too much technology on the one hand.The room is fitted with several sets of lights which go off indepedently in the middle of the night. On the other hand the satellite dish seems to be wobbly as the TV mostly provides shaky pictures. Also, the hotel likes a constant hum of music which becomes very loud at the weekend. We also had a slight problem with the service, but I suppose that everybody forgets and it probably does not happen on the regular basis.

Not the best of stays
On our first morning we were woken by reception at 4.20am and told we had booked an alarm call for that time - we hadn't, we don't book alarm calls. the room we were in had only 1 shelf in the wardrobe for all clothes that didn't belong on hangers - not enough for people staying 5 nights. We were told that the Nespresso machine would be removed to free up another shelf - it wasn't. When we arrived the control for the plug in the bath was broken and resting on the side of the bath so we couldn't close the plug to have a bath that night - it was repaired the next day. Despite the room being serviced each day the floor was either not vacuumed or the vacuum cleaner was not at all efficient. The beds were very comfortable and the self service breakfast was very good.
