"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "Absolutely unreal. The staff, every single one of them are fantastic. Here for a wedding locally and we greeted were warmly by all the staff here. The room is very large, very clean and well ventilated. The small touches in the room were very welcome, good towels, comfortable large bed and great coffee tray. We went for lunch in the restaurant and it was out of this world, the duo of lamb being the absolute favourite. It was so tender, the ragu tartlet was rich and delicious with the pastry case...

"Sadly we stayed only for one night, the room was comfortable, clean and not much noise. Friendly staff and there is a bar- restaurant with plenty of choises, what we tried for dinner was good and breakfast was also nice. Free parking and WiFi."

"Nice location in quiet village which was very handy for silverstone park & ride. Plenty of parking. Nice room with hotel overall having an oldy world feel. Staff were very friendly accommodating & helpful. Breakfast was included freshly cooked with good range of choices. Evening meal also very nice, good range, freshly cooked & reasonably priced although did take quite a while to arrive but was worth it. Only minor negative was the water pressure was rather low which meant the shower wasn’t...
