We initially booked 3 rooms which were advertised to have sofa beds, in every other hotel we have stayed at there are extra duvet and pillows inside the wardrobe however this was not the case. When we went to request the extra duvet and pillows the receptionist was rude and told us we should’ve requested these ahead of time. You would think we’re were asking for something obscure and not a duvet and pillow at a hotel with his reaction. Eventually my sister explained we were here for her wedding at the city rooms which listed the Gresham as their partnered hotel and there were no family rooms available so we settled for the sofa beds. The receptionists tone really changed after this but the experience really left a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth and I really wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a stress free wedding stay before hosting your event at the city rooms. The parking situation was also absolutely abysmal and difficult with the amount of bits you need to carry for a wedding, the nearest car parks are over 10/15 minutes away.

Central location in Leicester. Only downside is the street in front is pedestrian only so you have to walk from the corner, but it's close enough. Kitchenettes are in the rooms.

I stay here every two weeks for work and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It’s the perfect balance between hotel functionality and the warmth of a home in the heart of Leicester. The best part: The peace and quiet for resting, the convenience of having my own kitchen, the location, and a team that always makes you feel welcome.

The room was clean and tidy, staff informative and attentive but the hob in the room was without instructions so I think a brief but clear guidance to switching it on and off should be provided.
