    The Space:

    This serene outdoor retreat is located on a working 18-acre farm with animals, pastures, a creek, and a barn. Quiet, but still conveniently located only mere minutes from Asheville, guests will get to indulge in the quintessential mountain/farm experience while not missing out on all the city has to offer. Away from your stay, explore Woodfin Riverside Park, Asheville Treetops Adventure Park, The Orange Peel, Buncombe County Sports Park, and just up the road, the Cataloochee Ski Area. Inside the charming interior of your stay, find light-filled, cozy living quarters. The spacious living room features comfortable seating and a large TV. The well-equipped kitchen presents a lovely space to cook when you aren't dining out. Meals can be enjoyed as a family at the wooden dining table. Also in this space, appreciate having access to a work desk, ideal for remote workers. Both bedrooms are airy and adorned with homey fixtures, ensuring everyone's comfort. Central air-conditioning, board games, kid's toys, and coloring books round out this home's great interior perks. As evening dawns on another day in vacation, get outside and enjoy the lovely weather from the home's spacious outdoor space, lined by trees, and surrounded by the soothing sounds of the creek. Exactly what we needed

The place is small, but perfect for a couple getaway. Close to restaurants in downtown (certainly walkable) and easy highway access for visits to Biltmore and the mountains.

Stayed here for 5 nights as a home base for a leaf watching trip. Property is clean and had every thing we needed for our stay. It’s really central to all of the fun in downtown Asheville. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was across the street from the Harrah Cherokee Center which was very convenient. The condo came with a parking space which we loved! We walked to restaurants, shopping, and events and felt safe. There was a Keurig coffee maker and wish pods had been supplied or mentioned in kitchen details. The king bed was comfortable. would have given four and 1/2 stars if possible. yes we reccommend

Clean, Comfortable & Convenient

We've been renting stay-places and staying at hotels in Asheville and the surrounding area for over 10 years. This was -- for us -- the best stay yet. The price was far more reasonable than other options with similar amenities. Parking was PERFECT and a BONUS! The place was spotless, comfortable (cotton sheets --not microfiber; bed firm and not over-used; towels were very nice; furniture comfortable and decor easy-on-the-eyes), and convenient: walking downtown to eateries/bars was simple and safe and driving to event in Weaverville took 12 minutes. We will be returning to this Hiawassee stay!

Awesome for concert stay

From concert to bed about 7 minutes. Perfect for 2 people. Great parking which seems to be a big issue in town. Walk to everything downtown. For our needs it was great.

This is a special spot for anyone visiting Asheville or the surrounding area. Super clean, quaint, spacious, and quiet. I’ve already sent it to my friends and fam! Came with a friend but would also be great for a small family or 2-3 friends. A really easy commute into the city also! We got to say hi to the donkeys as well! Thankyou!

Hidden gem

Living quarters above a two door garage next to the owner’s main house. It sounds iffy but it’s not. It’s very quiet and peaceful and only 15 minutes from downtown. It has been remodeled and very clean. Sit on the deck and watch donkeys, sheep, chickens, turkeys and geese in the small abutting pasture. Very friendly owner who only talked to us when we approached him while he was working in his yard.

The apartment was clean and well situated. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to. Our only complaint was the sparsity of toilet paper and soap. There were leftover rolls of toilet paper in the pantry.

Very nicely appointed rooms, great location, but total screw up with combination lock. Probably Vacasa' s fault, not vrbo. We arrived late, and texted back & forth with Vacasa agent. Finally got in at 12:30AM after 1.5 hrs.

Quiet, cozy, and cute!

We loved it! The location is about 20 minutes from Asheville on a quiet hilltop. There is a neighbor, but we tried to stay out of their space. The view of the mountains from the living room was lovely. I absolutely adored the decorations in the home! Artwork, furniture choices, lighting... I thought it all was delightful! It was clean, warm (we stayed in December), bright, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed space to play games, watch movies, and prepare food for eating. After the Christmas hustle and bustle it was perfect for relaxing and recharging!

Hiawassee W203 Asheville, NC rental

PROS-The Condo is ideally located in the City of Asheville with a superb parking spot in an otherwise very crowded community. The condo was clean and easily accessed. The bedroom was comfortable, and the kitchen is functional. CONS- the bathroom utilizes a sliding barn door that doubles for the door to the washer/dryer. This door does not stay shut but rolls open, requiring something to be wedged under it if you want privacy. The thermostat was set on 61 for heat but the inside of the unit was a constant 75 degrees-the heat would not go off-we had to crack a window to get any semblance of comfort. The Condo utilizes Roku which severely limits any television watching. Adding any channels requires knowing the pin number for the Roku (which is unavailable). The instructions for using this television are in the Welcome Book but they are not correct (in fact, the Welcome Book mentions a hot tub which doesn't exist). The fan in the bathroom doesn't work. There's a broken drawer in one of the night-stands next to the bed. I would give this Condo a letter grade of C- because it needs attention and repairs. I don't plan on staying there again.

Shame on Vacasa

I hesitated to book this property due to Vacasa's poor customer service reputation, but I gave them a chance. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. Vacasa sent a marketing email 10 days before check-in, mentioning that detailed instructions would be texted on the day of arrival. I received a text with codes for the gate, door, and unit, along with Wi-Fi details, but nothing about parking. We parked in a spot without any "Owner Parking" signage, yet our car was towed the next day, causing us to miss planned events. When I contacted Vacasa, they informed me that parking information was buried in the "Driving Directions" section of an earlier email. Since I knew the area, I hadn’t reviewed those directions, and the text on the day of arrival didn’t mention the parking spot. Despite this oversight, Vacasa refused to reimburse the $225 tow fee. I'm disappointed that a company would choose not to rectify their mistake, prioritizing a small fee over customer satisfaction. This experience has only confirmed Vacasa’s poor reputation. Their customer service and priorities need serious improvement.
