Favorite getaway
This was our second time booking this property and we have stayed at many around this area. We fell in love with this stay last year and decided to book again. We love that it is dog friendly and a safe area for our dog to venture around because it’s not too close to the road. Also close to Leavenworth making it easy to go to town several times during our stay.

The cabin and land is great. It was clean, warm and in a very quiet, secluded area. Wonderful little get away place. However, some of the neighbours are not friendly and don’t take kindly to strangers. We had an unfortunate interaction with a neighbour who got very upset that our dog wondered on his property. Our dog did go on his property but only for a few seconds and when I called him he can back to me. The land owner was irate. He yelled and screamed and called me a bunch of names. I normally wouldn’t care too much about an adult temper tantrum, but he said that if a person or dog goes on his property again they would be shot. I sincerely hope this was just a scare tactic, but I wouldn’t want to test this theory. I understand that people feel the need to protect their property but a simple conversation would have been done the trick. This was an honest mistake and should not have resulted in threatening our safety. If you do stay here please be very careful about the neighbours. And make sure kids and animals are safe and close. This is rural USA where people are very eager to exercise their rights to bear arms and protect their property at all costs. Other than this interaction the cabin is lovely. I would have rated it 5 stars if is wasn’t for this incident.

Very relaxing
We came over from the Olympic Peninsula to check out Leavenworth and let the kids play in the snow while we relaxed, so the cabin was perfect. As described, the driveway is steep so you’ll definitely need 4-wheel drive to get in and out when it’s plowed, but chains if it’s snowed. ❄️ The cabin felt warm and cozy. We loved that firewood had been left, as well as some essentials in the kitchen so we could cook. Things that could be improved: The non-stick pan was so worn out that we deemed it unsafe to use. It should be replaced. We really enjoyed the hot tub too, but we were disappointed that it wasn’t hot enough to use until the second day that we were there. Had we not booked a second night, it would have been too cold for even a lukewarm dip. The maintenance guy also came early the next morning to do the chemicals so we couldn’t use it before we checked out either. Outside of these small things, it was a lovely stay. The layout was great and the bedrooms upstairs were very inviting and comfortable. We thought the fleece sheets and the big windows to watch the snow fall were great. The big vaulted ceilings made it feel very spacious.

Great location, great place. Being there in the winter was great for the kids. Provided cookware is a little beat up but not enough to ruin the weekend. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay with the pups
Cabin was nice and cozy. Received a text that it was ready early which was great! Wood burning stove made the stay even better. It was clean. I like that they accept pets. It was a little weird there are not any curtains or blinds, but you cannot really see any neighbors except lights off in the distance. 4WD was needed on the second day. Hot tub was a relaxing way to end the night. With that said… hot tub maintenance man showed up unexpectedly 9:30am Sunday morning. I wasn’t told, had just got out of the shower, a didn’t have any pants on. A little heads up or maybe just wait 30 more minutes as checkout was 10am. All in all though I would stay here again!

Great Cabin In The Woods
This cabin is close to the town of Plain and Leavenworth. It has a wood stove which makes the whole cabin warm. It does get hot upstairs with the fire going. We had to go buy a lighter and wood to start the fire. There was pots and pans to make dinner and plates and utensils. It was a great place to go with the family for a holiday weekend.

Secluded Cabin In The Woods
This place gave very "guy-in-white-mask-stalks-woman-who-lives-alone-in-the-woods" vibes with how secluded it was. But I dig that, so we loved it...Perfect for Spooky Season. Stayed with friends for Oktoberfest. Cabin was cozy and the hot tub was a bonus on the chilly evenings. Place was extremely clean and had a large movie selection. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Only odd thing was that there weren't any coverings on the windows (no curtains or blinds), but with how secluded it was, it was fine. Getting in or out of the driveway may be difficult in the winter without a 4 wheel drive and tire chains. Would love to stay again next time we go to Leavenworth. Thanks!

I wanted to love this place :(
First off I 100% recommend having an AWD for this cabin. The drive way is beyond steep. We really wanted to love this place but we felt like it was super dirty. There was cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom was beyond dirty, especially the shower and toilet. We felt like our bedding wasn’t cleaned. The grass around the property was super overgrown. There was a lot of dog hair through out the cabin and the vacuum was not getting anything up. While the cabin is super beautiful, we unfortunately did not enjoy our stay.

Great cabin in the woods!
It has all the feels of a cabin in the woods of eastern, WA. The hot tub was a definite bonus and the place itself was just cute. Beds were comfy and the appliances made life easier. The ice still coating the property was a bit of a shock and it was a little difficult navigating but we all managed to stay upright. I picked this place because it was pet friendly, which I super loved but I was surprised at the amount of dog poop left around the property. Sad people don't pick up after themselves. Keep in mind, 10 miles away from Leavenworth equals a 20 minute drive, the dirt roads take an extra bit of time. Overall we had a great stay!

Beautiful and comfortable place to be stuck!
This place is lovely and well appointed. The hot tub is heavenly. Plenty of tv’s and movies, cooking equipment, comfy beds. It’s remote yet close enough for a short drive into Leavenworth or to some nice snowshoeing spots. Unfortunately the driveway is steep, hadn’t been recently plowed or sanded in spite of the recent snow and ice. Our Subaru couldn’t make it out the next day or any of the days. We made do with the supplies we brought, but there was no snowshoeing adventure or dinner out in Leavenworth, instead we had soup. We were in touch with the local Vacasa contact who said a plow would come, but the plow couldn’t get into the driveway. On the day we were to checkout the local property manager came and spent at least 5 hours working on the driveway, getting his own truck stuck, using a snowmobile and other equipment to clear the driveway and sand it. He was very kind to us and did the best he could and we did finally get out later that afternoon. Turns out guests get stuck there multiple times each winter, yet the owner won’t fix the driveway adequately. Too bad because the place is lovely and we would otherwise definitely come back, but that driveway needs to be improved for this to be a reasonable vacation rental option!!

Cozy home
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. It was easy communicating with the host for any questions and receiving a quick response back. It was helpful that they laid sand on the hill going down to the home, we didn’t have any issues entering and exiting which was nice. The property is secluded from other homes and felt more private, not needing to worry about bothering neighbors as much ((:

This cabin is located off a very low use gravel road and tucked into the trees so it feels like no one is around. It was well furnished and very clean. The location is great, close to Leavenworth and some spectacular lakes.

The worst experience I've ever had.
This was the worst experience. The smoke was terrible due to a neighboring wildfire that we were not warned about. Me and my pregnant wife had to leave our stay after only an hour or so of being there due to not wanting to risk our health over it. Then Vacasa is refusing to give any kind of refund or make it right at all for us which is absolutely ridiculous. How they have handled this situation is upsetting and not warning of a nearby wildfire is absolutely disgraceful that they care more about a few bucks than their guests safety. NEVER STAY WITH VACASA.

Nice place but bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle!
The cabin was nice and well stocked, had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable and it was very quiet and secluded. However, beware of the driveway! It's steep and graveled and it took me three tries to get out of it with my little car, was worried we might not be able to make it out! It would also be nice if there were blinds on the bedroom windows, the sun comes up early in the summer and we were all up with it. The cabin was nice enough that our family would stay there again, but only if we brought our truck to navigate the long gravel road and steep driveway.

A weekend to remember
OMG!!! We have so much to say about this cute cabin. 1st thing we loved about this cabin was how secluded this is. If youre driving too fast you’ll miss driveway😊 like we did twice lol. The cabin was clean, bed sheets and pillows smelled great. We had some safety concerns on how to get here with Google because they put on their map that Merry Canyon rd is closed for the winter which is a lie, but management was quick to call us and give us the best direction both on phone and email. The heater in this place is insanely grrrrrrreat! Plus they have a wood stove for more heat and ambiance, so bring your own wood because you’ll regret it! Ok now for the fun part THE JACUZZI! The temperature last two nights was 5 degrees and the jacuzzi was 104! The ladies were super stoked and you know that saying “happy wife happy life” It was on to the break of dawn. Happy New Year!

The house was just as I expected. We had a great time. A few things I would have wished for. Some holiday decoration since Leavenworth is such a Christmas town. Something festive would have been nice. Also would have liked a folder or something just letting us know what to do with the trash and other important information (what to do in Leavenworth, places to eat, etc.). I would recommend this place to others!

Honeymoon Stay
Driving to the property we new we had made the right choice. 15-20 min outside of Leavenworth it was just the right distance away from town. The driveway is long enough that you can't see the road. You can hear vehicles passing and people at a close by cabin. But the location is really private. The cabin was spic and span! Beautiful inside. Plenty of room. The hot tub on the porch was perfect for after our daily outings! The only negative is that the coffee pot is missing it's top. So we had to wedge a pair of tongs in it to make it so it worked. Mountain ingenuity! Felt very comfortable here. We look forward to staying again!

Nice property and very private.
The cabin was very nice and seemed relatively new. The appliances were new and modern. It had far more options like the hot tub and barbecue that we never used. There were some issues. We froze every morning. There did not seem to be a way to get the heat on in the main room. It could be operator error but we fiddled with it for four days. The bathroom and the bedroom heaters worked fine. There was no instruction or owners manual on anything so we had to do things and hope for the best. The coffee pot was a living venomous thing and we could only get the TV in the bedroom to play movies. None of these issues was a disaster just frustrating. For the price it was a nice place to stay and we would go back again for some quiet time.

Beautiful quaint spoty
Loved the property it was perfect getaway for my husband and I. We can't wait to come back with our kids. We came in summer and read the reviews that there's no ac but we were fine with the fans provided. Some things about the property and amenities. The coffee pot was missing the lid to brew but we found a yellow pour over we ended up liking better anyway. There is a spice cabinet with plenty of basic items to cook with. But the fridge is empty to so bring your own condiments. (Butter, ketchup, mustard, steak sauce) We loved the hot tub and utilizing the grill even though it was 100 degrees outside. The temp of the hot tub was turned down so it was pleasant to just relax in the warm tub. The location is just a ways outside of Leavenworth but we don't mind the drive and seeing the countryside. Everything was clean and we liked that there's a washer/dryer on site. Plenty of movies to watch and the internet was easy to long into. We just wish we had brought some board or card games of some kind.

They have serious Ant 🐜 issue they need to take care of I pretty sure some of them are in my luggage urh..... I had to wash dishes before we used they were put away dirty i wouldnt mention it (were human we make mistakes) but it was more then 1/2 of dishes.

Great hideaway
The cabin was great. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels, and the place was just like the photos. The only thing that was a bummer was that there was no A/C. I brought my own portable A/C unit and the place comes stocked with fans. Would recommend bringing an A/C unit if you have it since it gets warm; especially upstairs! Great place!

Very private location and clean. Please fix the fan and the heat.
We stayed for 3 nights in June and enjoyed it for most of it. The house is quite new and was very clean. We did not get any Internet access neither phone service (on TMobile) which I found to be nice to totally disconnect. The cons: 1. Was a little hard to find the house sign on the street because of tree benches which covered it. 2. The heat did not work in the living room and got cold in the mornings. 3. The fan in front of the bathroom was program to stat at 6am (and during the night) and was so load that wake me up so I had to go downstairs to stop it - I think most while on vacation like to sleep in (should leave instructions how to reprogram it, we did try).

Very nice place. No Internet. No phone reception. Probably a good thing except it would have been nice to look up places to see while we were there. We couldn't figure out how to work the living room heaters. Maybe, you could leave instructions. The hot tub was clean which is something some places overlook. We would be happy to stay there again.

Nice cabin, out of the way.
We enjoyed staying at the cabin mid-way between Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee. It was nice and secluded and perfect for a weekend away. Loved having the kitchen to cook in and it was nice having dishes and cooking utensils to use. Would have been nice to have WiFi since cell service is nonexistent. Also, it would be nice to have more than one space heater to keep the main living area warm. Thankfully we had brought wood and built a fire in the wood stove to heat up the cabin. Loved having the hot tub to sit in and enjoy the lovely outdoors. We’d definitely stay again.

You don’t want to use my review , for that I am sorry
The driveway to the house is horrible to drive on as my car had a hard time getting back up the steep hill. Arrive at the house to find it surrounded by trash including overflowing trash cans. The inside of home was not clean, stovetop and oven were unusable, sticky stuff in fridge as well as broken pieces, moldy coffee in the coffee pot and dirt and HAIR everywhere. Thankfully the manager helped us out.

We could not find wifi. The only instructions given in website were if it’s not working unplug for 30 seconds. Would have been nice to have a house info sign on table. We looked everywhere literally. They had a good dvd selection though and nice speakers for house unfortunately we could play our music with no wifi service. I would have rated better if I had it.

Great, quiet family vacation
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin and we would definitely stay here again. It was peaceful and secluded. We enjoyed sledding down the driveway, walking though the neighborhood, and visiting Leavenworth midweek when it was dead. Sleeping was easy for our blackout blind family with no street lights glaring in the windows at night. And despite the lack of curtains, I did not feel exposed. There is really no one around to see inside. The cabin has two bedrooms and one loft room, which would be difficult for kids to sleep in if adults stay up later. The beds were a little too soft. As others have mentioned, the kitchen had almost everything we needed. Here’s what I would bring: Large cutting board, Measuring cups (liquid and dry), Vegetable peeler, Silicone spatula, Grater, Dish towels, Clothe napkins, and conical coffee filters. I was pleasantly surprised to find a coffee grinder :). The dining room table is rickety and held together with twine. The table is not safe and should be replaced. There were plenty of bath towels and pool towels. The hot tub was probably “clean” as it is full of chemicals, but the water was brown. Bring slippers as the main floor floor is very cold, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. We used about one pack of wood from the grocery store a day having a fire in the afternoon. The upstairs would get uncomfortably warm if we had a fire in the evening. Cell service on Verizon was spotty. We were occasionally about to make contact with the outside world, but not consistently. It was nice to be disconnected. We were able to get in and out of the steep icy driveway with our AWD vehicle, but we are confident snow drivers. I would not recommend that the average driver attempt this. There is space for one car at the top of the hill. Otherwise, there’s no street parking particularly in the winter when snow plows need to get by. I find it odd that the response from Vacasa to poor reviews is to call customer service while at the vacation rental, but this is not an option at a house with less than one bar of service and no wifi.

Beautiful area, difficult to get to.
The Property is beautiful, but very difficult to get to. Down 2 miles of unplowed, poorly maintained roads, with deep pot holes, and mud every where. The home is small, well decorated and well appointed with basic kitchen ware, big towels and a working hot tub. Down side is having to park precariously at the top of the road, and walk down a steep iced over hill to get to the house. And cart ourselves and our stuff up and down the hill to the car....

Nice place. Clean. Driveway very doable w 4w drive. The hot tub was great overall the property felt well cared for.
