Our family enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the lake. The pool was refreshing. The owner was great at communicating with us. We would stay here again.

Had a wonderful time at the lake house. My grandchildren said they wouldn’t go in lake but next day they were paddle boarding and jumping in like a pro. Owner was very quick to respond to all my questions. I loved the master bed but was a challenge to get in because it was so high up suggest a step. Would come back with no hesitation.

We had such a wonderful stay. The house was beautifully decorated and is in the perfect location, quiet area and easy to get to. Communication with the host was great. We brought our boat and it was super easy to put in at the campground just across the street, and cruse through the channel and dock at the house. Having the pool was also great for the kids who wanted a break from the lake.

The property exceeded our expectations. It was better than listed. The pool was pristine but know that it is 12 feet at its deepest point. The lake views were amazing. Deer walked right on the property. Bring your boat, as the house has a private dock. We will stay here again if we decide to visit this area in the future.

The house was amazing with lots of windows to view Lake Hyko. The property was clean and had convenient amenities. The view first thing in the morning from the deck or boathouse deck was absolutely gorgeous. The festival we were attending was cut short but we still stayed to enjoy the house.

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet and rejuvenating week lounging in the giant salt water pool while taking in the beautiful sites of Hyco Lake. Could not ask for a better location to stay to rest and relax!

Clean and lovely home with great views and pool, but challenging for older people with mobility issues. Lots of stairs, low toilets, and extremely high master bed. Conveniently located with great water for boating and water sports. Owner very responsive.

The house was as described in the post, it was clean and beautiful. My family and I had a wonderful stay. My husband and I caught plenty of catfish. However, the only issue we had was the bugs, there was so many bugs. We were unable to enjoy the outside because of the bugs. We were unable to turn on any light outside because if we did we would have been attacked by bugs. The pool was amazing, but we were unable to fully enjoy the pool because there was so many bugs in the pool and it did not matter how many times I cleaned it the bugs was there. Another issue I had was with the trash, we had to drop our trash off at the dump ourselves and I got lost trying to find the dump. Overall, The house was very relaxing and the inside was very beautiful and clean, but they need to do something about all the bugs maybe get a exterminator to spray for the bugs.

The property was beautiful and clearly well loved. We were there for an event at VIR and it was 10 minutes from the track so incredibly convenient for racers. The lake is stunning and so peaceful in the mornings. Unfortunately we had a hurricane but Mark was heroic! He came and helped us pack up the pool and outside furniture and made sure we had candles and flash lights just in case. We are grateful for a wonderful week.

This property was just as described. Great views from just about everywhere in the house and multi level outdoor areas. Fully stocked kitchen, very, very comfortable beds and linens. The yard is gently sloped and very easy to walk to the water and giant 2 level dock. Many seating areas outside all over the property. We've stayed at other Hyco properties that may sleep 8 -10 but have limited seating. This property considered all the seating needs very well. The kitchen table and basement dining table were plenty big enough for 8 or more. We visited the nature preserve across the street and highly encourage anyone wanting to catch unbelievable views to do the same. The only reason 4 stars for cleanliness was due to the pet hair, everything else was spotless. No pets are allowed however some reviews stated that the owner has pup's with them when they are using the property. It wasn't visibly noticeable at all until the day I had on black pants. The evidence of the pets was all over my pants. My son is allergic to dogs but he had no sneezing issues at all, it looks like the cleaning crew just needs to vacuum a bit more.

This is an amazing rental property that is kept in prestine cvondition. The family room and gournet kitchen were great; nice and open. This house with it's open layout makes great for socializing. Beautiful views of the lake from all rooms!! Plenty of outdoor living space with a pool, grill and outdoor seating. We loved the pool as well as the canoe and kayaks that are available for use. We have stayed in this home twice now and look forward to returning soon!

This property proved that lake living can provide the ultimate fun and relaxing vacation. The views from the house and deck were stunning, and even better when sitting poolside. The furniture was all clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was modern and well stocked. We appreciated having the standard coffee maker in addition to the Keurig. The only negative to our experience was that we had to leave. Thank you Mark to you and your family for opening up your home to us, as a property and experience like yours is exactly what our family needed.

The house is exactly as advertised - great location in a private section of Hyco Lake outside of all the boat traffic with wonderful views and fantastic boating/lake activities at the doorstep. The home is very clean and well furnished, and very comfortable both upstairs and down (downstairs is great for the older kids to hang out). Boat house is easy to tie up to (if you bring a boat), and a wonderful spot for morning coffee and evening dining/drinks, and the pool and pool deck are fantastic during the day. Mark is a wonderful host - accessible and accommodating, working with the cleaning person to allow us to check in a bit early simply to allow us to catch a Euro 2020 soccer match on TV - truly a wonderful host (and a wonderful cleaning person)! 5 stars all the way.

I love this house and it’s a great location on the lake. My family had a blast. Property owner was quick to respond to questions and property was very clean Cons: house is not setup for kids from the ages of 10 months (crawler) to 3 years old, No barriers around the pool or dock, Pool is not heated, no fire pit
