"The location was perfect as I could walk everywhere I wanted to go – museums, monuments, both sides of the Seine – and the restaurants, boulangeries, patisseries, fruit stands, and grocery stores were all within 2 blocks. The previous reviews had mentioned the staircase, but potential renters need to know that not only is it 4 flights up, it’s very narrow & spiral with old wooden steps. I am an athlete, but I had to be extremely careful. Had I been staying longer, I’m not sure I would have...

"Great communication from David and loved the flexibility in allowing us to drop off our luggage before checkin. Good location for the price, however, as others have mentioned, the room smelled quite musty. I’m unsure if it was due to the rain when we were there, but there were ants everywhere. They crawled onto the sofa bed and the side table (even when we didn’t have food on the table), making it a quite uncomfortable and disappointing stay."
