We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Continental, and while overall it was a pleasant experience, my disappointment with the handing of a safety incident must be address.
On November 2, 2023, one guest had a fall in the shower resulting in minor injuries. We promptly informed to the front desk to the incident because of the safety issues and concern. The young lady was very responsive and concerned.
Rather than expressing genuine concern for his well-being and seeking to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident, the general manager's reply felt dismissive and lacked the professionalism one would expect from a reputable establishment. It seemed as though guest safety was not a priority for him.
We suggested the hotel could use slip resistant stripe or mats in the tub/showers, his response was "We do not have those here." Instead, he said, "what do you want from me?" and offered us free breakfast. In situations like these, a compassionate and customer-centric approach is crucial. A simple apology and an assurance that the matter would be investigated would have sufficed, general manager F.
