"Had a wonderful time really enjoyed the peace & quiet.Lots of great walks from the property in all directions. Easy stroll into Whitby where you can get the bus to Staithes and walk back to the property or train to Grosmont & also walk back. Communication was first class & a great nights sleep was guaranteed. We were also very lucky with the weather."

"Lighthouse was absolutely perfect for a group pf x 3 friends to enjoy time together. What`s not to like about sea views, coastal walking and glorious sunshine ? Internally the lighthouse is tastefully themed all things "sea", comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fabulous."

"Great location to head into Whitby. A few nice touches from Our hosts who were very friendly. Dog friendly was a huge bonus. All round good standard. Unfortunately the bar/restaurant is closed in the village, but there are plenty of places in and around Whitby to buy food and have a drink. "

"We have just returned from a wonderful week on the North York Moors. The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. "I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic "
