It was delightful to nestle-in at Postgate Barn. Mark and Moya were perfectly welcoming and gracious.This thoughtfully appointed country retreat is charming, with perfect accommodations for two couples. Attention to detail gives it lots of comfort and character. We enjoyed breathtaking views of the moors, lovely sitting areas to enjoy the morning sun, daily hikes along the ridge and wine in the evenings.It offers easy access for day trips to local villages coastal towns. Thanks for creating such a warm and precious retreat. Our stay has been wonderful. We hope to come again!

Perfect location for explore North York Moors

Postgate Barn was everything we hope it would be and more; it's location is great for exploring the North York Moors and the views across the valley are spectacular if you have the weather!The Barn is perfect for 2 couples and has all the amenities you will need, including a well equipped kitchen. The welcome touches were very much appreciated!Mark and Moya are superb hosts, with quick communication and offers of advice/support if needed.

Beautiful Location for Cycling, Walking and Relaxing!

We spent 8 nights here in early April. The property is beautifully set out with everything you could need - including some very warm underfloor heating.The location is perfect for cycling and walking right from the doorstep, with Apps like Komoot perfect for plotting spectacular circular days out. The barn is wonderfully quiet, with lovely views across the valley.Mark and Moya were the perfect hosts and always there if you needed any help or advice. Communication was excellent.Already planning a return in 2026!

A wonderful 3 night stay

We had a fabulous time over NewYear in this lovely, cosy, warm & well-equipped property. Hosts were very welcoming. Fabulous views and lovely walks nearby and a trip into Whitby just a short drive away. A beautiful snow covered landscape on our final day.

High quality property in a peaceful location

We’re a family of four that was looking for a short escape from the frenetic urban environment. This cottage is in an amazingly beautiful and quiet location. You can enjoy the birds singing with a lovely view from the back garden and great views of the stars on a clear night. The property is of a high standard, as described, very warm on cold days and the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Well located to see the moors and surrounding towns and cities.

Cosy New Year break

Perfect property for 2 couples to celebrate New Yea. Very warm (so much so we did not light the log burner) and lovely views over the valley. Kitchen area is small but well equipped. Located in heart of fabulous, very quiet walking area.

Gorgeous and peaceful

One of the best cottages we've ever stayed in - very clean and comfortable, and full of character. Weather wasn't great but we still had a great time and the view from the cottage was wonderful. Hosts were super kind and attentive and very helpful. Many thanks!

Charming retreat in picturesque countryside

We were completely charmed by this off the beaten path adorable cottage located in simply STUNNING countryside. Mark and Moya were very considerate hosts explaining the layout of the land and local attractions catered to what we wanted to do and see. A simply wonderful place to stay

This was a perfect place for two couples/friends to enjoy being together. The countryside was beautiful, the view spectacular and the barn a pleasure to be in and so well equipped. A relative short distance to the coast and some beautiful dale’s villages with some great pubs. It was a wonderful week.

July 2023 Yorkshire

We wanted a place in the moors as a base for exploring Yorkshire. Postgate farm was a perfect. The location makes it easy to explore the area and the accommodations make you look forward to retuning each night. Stunning views from the property, well equipped kitchen and the perfect size for a family of four. We loved our stay!

Fantastic hidden gem!

Beautiful accommodation - quiet, beautiful walks, views, friendly locals. Ideal for taking two teenagers - they had their own bedroom bathroom and sitting area. Easy reach to the tourist attractions and hosts were welcoming, organised and nothing was too much trouble.

Wonderful stay

Amazing property in a stunning part of Yorkshire. The views form the garden were breathtaking. Very comfortable barn conversion, everything to a very high standard. We were made very welcome by owners and locals. A truly enjoyable break away.
