The property location, size, and a single level was exactly what we were looking for our family stay.
The cricket and roaches were not welcome. Gaps and holes at the base of some walls where the wall and floor meet may contribute to bug entrance into the property.
The master bedroom window had no coverings and anyone walking down the sidewalk could look into the room. We hung paper towels for privacy.
The "4th bedroom" isn't a bedroom as it had no closet, and there was no bathroom door between these rooms!?
The bathrooms had no towel racks to hang wet bath towels after showering or to hang a hand towel.
The kitchen: The stove fan/light hood didn't seem to be functioning. Upon inspection it wasn't connected, there were electric wires hanging down, possibly live, making it a serious safety hazard.
On a positive note, it was moderately clean (except for the bugs). Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. Mattress covers on the beds would be good.
Our family stays at HomeAway properties 2-3 times a year. This was by far the most unfinished.
With these few corrections: bug eradication, holes repaired, stove hood safely connected, bathroom door, and towel racks. This property would have been worth what we paid for it.
My suggestion is that the owner and/or manager actually stay at this property, with family, a few days to get a feel for the level of comfort and safety that is challenging this property. You can do better.
Thank you for the opportunity to stay at this property.
