The home itself was fine and generally as advertised. However, the overall experience was impacted by the fact that the property is managed by a third party rather than directly through VRBO. We ran into payment issues and I spent hours on the phone trying to sort them out. Unfortunately, VRBO was unable to help since the management company handled everything, which was frustrating.The bigger issue was a significant noise problem in the master bedroom. When the wind blew at night, it created an extremely loud, trumpet-like sound that kept us awake two nights in a row. It can’t be overstated how loud it was, not just normal wind or a rattling window. It was like Louis Armstrong was warming up at our bedside.We reached out multiple times to request a partial refund for the two sleepless nights and received no response, which was disappointing.Overall, the house itself was fine, but I would be cautious about staying there during windy conditions and be aware that communication and problem resolution are handled by a third-party management company rather than VRBO, and handled rather poorly.
