This is not our first time staying at this Lansing location on Lake Cayuga. Don and Michele are wonderful hosts, they have all the home necessities you’d need for a long or short stay. They have plenty of water toys and things in the house if it’s a rainy day. There’s also lots to do in the area wineries, outdoor hikes, lake, and boating in the warmer months. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing! We had a wonderful time at The Point. The private views of the lake were spectacular. There's easy access to the water to launch kayaks/SUP, skip rocks, and swim, and there are tons of games for indoor nights. The house was well-thought out for visitors - phone chargers on nightstands, hair dryer in the bathroom, spare blankets for curling up on the couch. My youngest loved spotting all the wildlife around. Every evening was spent taking in the beautiful sunset. Such an amazing vacation, and we hope to go back some day!

We had such a great stay at the Point! The setting is beautiful, and was perfect for little kids - the expansive lawn and little lake access provided lots of space to run around and enjoy the lake. Thank you!

Best Location on Cayuga Lake!

Great and unique location! You really can’t beat the incredibly easy lake access with the privacy. A very nice sized and flat piece of property, which our dog loved running around. No stairs to go down to the lake, which is a big plus. The house has everything you need. Kayaks, canoe, standup paddle board for the lake. Plenty of games to play outside. Lots of games, some really interesting and different, to play inside. Nice selection of books to read. For people who like to cook, the kitchen has everything you need (except for the food). Everything is neatly labeled, and there is plenty of information in the house if you have any questions about how things work, which I greatly appreciate. If you have any additional questions, the hosts respond very quickly. Myers Park is a 5 minute walk away. Just a little further is Salt Point Natural Area, which is lovely. The Corner Pub at Rogue’s Harbor Inn is a nice place to get dinner (eat in or take out). Salt Point Brewing Company is also nearby and allows dogs. Even though you feel far away, it’s less than 15-20 minutes to Wegmans, Ithaca Bakery, Purity Ice Cream, and the colleges. The information in the listing is very accurate. This is a great place to stay on Cayuga Lake!

A fun and relaxing week

We, our 2 adult daughters, their two partners and 2 dogs had a wonderful stay at this property. All of the amenities needed to enjoy both the indoors and outdoors were provided and in great condition. The property is very large and the waterfront is expansive. It is very private and peaceful despite its proximity to the marina. We particularly enjoyed the wildlife including deer, ducks, hawks and a heron. We would gladly return and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Such a unique amazing property

We had the most amazing relaxing trip ever! All of the details were taken care of as far as the house was concerned - the kitchen was well stocked, the beds and furniture were so comfortable, so many games and activities, chargers next to the bedside, there were instructions for everything…. Everything was very clean. It was so relaxing to have my coffee in the morning and my wine in the evening looking out over the beautiful lake. I came with my family for a spring break trip. My 12-year-old and I walked over to the park nearby through the marina every evening after dinner. we made many trips to Ithaca and also Taughannock Falls which was lovely. I’m already planning to come back with some girlfriends to do a winery trip.;) I would definitely love to come back to this property in the future!

Amazing

I don’t think I could say enough nice things about our experience at this property. It is the only place we have rented where we thought it was one we would love to own. The house is rustic, but modern, and the setting is second to none. The most gorgeous views, And the house was very well stocked! We would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact, it would be our pleasure, and we are already looking for dates when we can come back. Not a single thing is wrong with this property, everything is right. Communication with hosts was also excellent.

Stay on Cuyuga Lake

The stay here was very peaceful. Various birds on the water. Spotted a fox roaming the shoreline. Enjoyed morning coffee sitting at the kitchen table looking at the lake. We had a brilliant sunset the first evening we were there. While being remote we enjoyed the closeness of Ithaca and the historic village of Aurora. If you enjoy art, check out the Herbert F. Johmson Museum of Art.

Cozy Cottage Getaway

We wanted a winter getaway, and Don's cabin was the perfect escape! The private lakefront property, spacious accommodations, and hot tub were everything we hoped for! The house was well stocked, incredibly clean, and exactly as described. The location was also very convenient for local hikes and downtown.We will definitely return in the summer or fall.

Absolutely Perfect - We will be back!

What a wonderful introduction to the Finger Lakes! We had a great post-holiday getaway - the house gives a front row seat to gorgeous lake views, we made a number of trips into downtown Ithaca which was a short and easy drive, we got to play in the snow both at the property and at a resort close by where we went tubing….we cannot rave about it all enough. The house was impeccably clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to make yourself at home during the stay. Our kids loved finding the closet stocked with family friendly games and books. The hot tub was a great way to warm up and wind down while looking out at the lake and stargazing. We were sad to leave, but left with our hearts full! Thank you for everything - we are already looking at calendars to figure out when we can come back!

Wonderful stay

Had the opportunity to do a little wine tour with my wife, what a wonderful house in a prime location. Don was very helpful and easy to communicate with and having the ability to bring our dog was a home-run. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone considering. The place was clean and well kept. We look forward to returning soon.
