Praia da Luz is a charming resort town on the Algarve coast, just 10km west of Lagos. Once a small fishing village, it has retained its character while offering a perfect setting for families, beach lovers, and watersports enthusiasts. The sheltered bay provides a safe and scenic beach, and the stunning coastline is dotted with more beautiful beach towns.
The apartment is centrally located, so a car isn’t necessary—shops, restaurants, and the beach are all within walking distance.
Nearby Lagos offers a lively historic center, a marina, great dining, and breathtaking cliffs best explored by boat, kayak, or SUP. With plenty of activities, from surfing to sailing, this area has something for everyone.
## Transit
You can reach Luz in about an hour by car from Faro Airport, with rentals available at the airport. Public transport takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Bike rentals are in the same building, while a bus stop and car/scooter rentals are just 150m away, making it easy to explore. Lagos, the nearest larger town, has train and bus connections, but schedules are limited. Taxis and Ubers are available, and while a car isn’t necessary, renting one can be useful for exploring the region.
