House was great for large group of families traveling with small children and grandparents. There are some stairs so mobility is required. The pool a yard was a perfect escape for the kids to play in the afternoon and the town is a short walk away with a beautiful beach to play at.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Da Luz! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully maintained the property was. The villa had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday — a well-equipped kitchen, huge living spaces, and plenty of outdoor seating on the patio to enjoy the sunshine.The infinity pool was a highlight, perfect for daily relaxing, and the patio offered breathtaking views of the ocean. It felt wonderfully peaceful, yet the location was ideal — just a short walk or quick drive to the beach, restaurants, and shops in Luz.What really stood out was the attention to detail: fresh linens, thoughtful touches throughout, and excellent communication from the hosts, who made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay.Overall, this villa was the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Algarve, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The villa is dated and poorly maintained. We had a lot of issues with many aspects of the villa during the week we stayed – the list was extensive but as an example we had no WiFi in the entire downstairs, broken and dangerous pool filters, missing mattresses in the cots, stained, soiled and broken furniture.. The host initially responded refusing to address anything and after the first day didn’t respond to any messages at all. We had to chase the management company continually all week and had several visits from random maintenance people who would turn up unannounced, let themselves in without introduction and rarely fix any of the issues. This was disruptive, intrusive and having to keep chasing to try and resolve anything really ruined the holiday. The villa is described as luxury as is priced accordingly, however overall the facilities are basic and dated and it needs a significant amount of maintenance and updating.

An exceptional villa for families

The villa was perfect for our family get-together of 14. Its location strikes the ideal balance—close enough to the beach and town amenities for convenience, yet far enough to offer a peaceful, private retreat. Beautiful and spacious house in a wonderful location

What a beautiful house in a prime location on the Algarve coast. The house has breathtaking views and is a short walk from Luz. Everything was as described or better, and our large family of 9 was easily accommodated.

Fabulous villa for a relaxing getaway

We were 3 families of 4 and there was plenty space for all of us. The kids as well as adults had fun with the games room and all the space. We all loved that each room had its own ensuite bathroom and the privacy shutters gave us such a restful sleep. It’s in a very quiet and safe area and easy to walk to the main town with all the restaurants and the beach. The property manager kept in touch at all times whenever we had questions and was very prompt to help us with anything we needed. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone staying in the Algarve area!

Perfect!

Our stay at Casa da Luz was perfect! Everything was so clean and when we got there it exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do the views or villa justice, it’s just breathtaking. Perfect location, it was quiet and away from the busier areas but just a short walk into the town of Praia da Luz and a short car ride into Lagos. The game room was a big hit with our family at the end of every night and we were happy we booked a place that had one. All of the staff were delightful and so kind to work with. Would 100% stay here again!

Family vacation

The villa was located in an excellent location overlooking the sea and close enough to the main beach and facilities to be able to walk rather than use the car. The infinity pool was well maintained and the covered shaded patio area close to the villa provided shelter from the offshore winds We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family group and look forward to a further holiday at that location in the coming years

Highly recommend

Other than the absolute beauty of the property, villa and view, the management was impeccable. From the beginning conversations with Joana to speaking with the property manager Christina. The house was extremely clean and prime location. Luz is one of the most beautiful places we have been in Portugal thus far and we can’t wait to come back.

Lovely house, exactly like the pictures

Great property, ideal for our big group of 13. Plenty space for everyone and the kitchen has everything you could ever need. The showers weren’t so great, one wouldn’t move from cold and others took a bit of fiddling to find the hot water but overall, we had a great stay.

Fabulous location!

Our family of 14 spent two weeks at Casa de Luz. Amazing location with just a short walk to the town of Luz with many restaurants and a grocery store. The view was outstanding. We found the daily housekeeping service was a great bonus with so many of us. We came in May and found the pool to be very cold. It was so cold I couldnt even sit with my feet in the pool. The kitchen was hard to cook in for so many people and we wished there was a beverage fridge as well as the main fridge. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The villa was clean and our family had a wonderful stay.
