Now... relax, take a deep breath and imagine the following:

It is a bright, lazy summer afternoon at Villa Sol Nascente. You have just enjoyed a wonderful family lunch on the kitchen terrace. Your friends have gone for a walk and taken the children with them.

A gentle scent of sea air and green fig leaves drifts through the warm afternoon.

You are sitting comfortably in the shade on the living room terrace, with a glass of your favourite drink resting on the table within easy reach. The joyful voices of your children playing below with your spouse in the private swimming pool bring back memories of your own childhood summer holidays.

Beside you, your youngest child is sleeping peacefully.
The relaxing sounds of sparrows and swallows surround you as they flutter and dance in the gentle breeze, which softly sways the almond and fig trees around you.

Nothing else can be heard except, from time to time, the distant and soothing hum of the regional train slowly passing through Meia Praia station, moving as leisurely as time itself.

You reach for your glass and take a refreshing sip.
In front of you, not far away, stretches a breathtaking view of the Algarve countryside, the vast golden sands of Meia Praia and the deep blue ocean, where the Mediterranean spirit seems to meet the mighty Atlantic.
You gaze towards the horizon and imagine what it must have been like centuries ago, when Portuguese explorers set sail into the unknown. It happened right there, in the very place you are looking at now. You remember that there is Wi Fi available and that you could look it up on your smartphone...

No... not now. I'll watch a documentary on YouTube tonight instead.

Perhaps you will have lunch at the small and beautiful Praia do Camilo. Or maybe you will rent kayaks for the family and explore the caves hidden among the golden cliffs from the sea.

Your child has now woken up. You take one last sip and stand up. Should you dive into the pool or walk just 7 minutes to dip your feet into the warm salty waters of Meia Praia? Perhaps you could enjoy a coffee on the beachfront terrace, right on the sand.

Yes, that's exactly what you'll do.

You stand up, lean gently against the balcony railing and ask:

"Hey! I'm going down to the beach for a coffee. Who's coming with me?"

• Meia Praia Beach: 7 minute walk via a pedestrian path
• Historic centre of Lagos: less than 10 minutes by car
• You can also use the wooden boardwalk running through the dunes for a beautiful walk to Lagos: approximately 45 to 60 minutes on foot
• Large supermarket: 8 minutes by car
• Traditional fresh fish and fruit market: less than 10 minutes by car
• Several beachfront restaurants serving traditional Portuguese cuisine: 5 to 7 minute walk
• Faro Airport: approximately 60 minutes by car

💦 We recommend pool heating for all guests at any time of the year, even during summer.
💦 You can enjoy the pool on cooler or cloudy days and in the evening under the stars! 🏊🏻‍♂️✨🌜

💦 PRE BOOKING POOL HEATING
• Please contact us for reservations and further information.
• Pool heating must be booked at least 8 to 10 days before check in. We recommend contacting us as early as possible.
• Pool heating is optional.


💦 POOL COVER, RULES & INSTRUCTIONS
• The pool cover must always be used during your stay to prevent the water from losing a significant amount of heat overnight and to avoid unnecessary electricity costs.

1. The pool must always be covered at night. We also recommend covering it whenever it will not be used for several hours.

2. Always remove the pool cover before using the pool.

• Guests are responsible for this task.
• Instructions on how to use the pool cover will be provided during check in.

Please note:
• It normally takes around 4 days (longer during winter) to heat the pool to approximately 28°C (82°F) before check in.
• During use, temporary water temperature fluctuations between 24°C and 28°C (75°F and 82°F) are normal, particularly during the cooler months.
