A COTTAGE IN THE LAGOS COUNTRYSIDE

  • A spacious one bedroom cottage on a large property 6 km from Lagos and its beautiful beaches. Peace and quiet among the fig trees and almond trees, a quick drive to Lagos and easy access to the fabulous beaches of the west coast. The cottage is situated next to the main house but completely separate with its own driveway and private terrace facing south. There is a large bedroom with two double beds, a living room with a sofa bed (1m30), Wifi, a dining area with a fireplace , and a fully equipped kitchen. Every room opens on to the terrace. Barbecue available. Pets are welcome. For those who enjoy hiking in the country, the house is on the Via Algarviana link from Lagos to Bensafrim.

Amazing and Confortable

Amazing place for family vacay. We loved the house and the host is very nice and always ready to help. The house is very confortable, clean and had everything we needed.

Beautiful place in a quiet area

We spent three weeks at this wonderful place with our dog. Mary is the perfect host, very friendly, caring and helpful. Our dog enjoyed the company of Leo and Tommy. It is the perfect place to relax and starting point for daily hiking activities around the southwestern algarve.

Maison et site très agréable

Maison parfaite située à proximité de lagos tout en étant au calme. La propriétaire est particulièrement gentilke et accueillante. A recommander vivement.

A perfect place for a quiet and relaxing holiday

The house was very beautiful and quiet. Mary is living in the house near by and was super friendly and caring. We had everything we needed to cook something in the big kitchen and then eating on the terrace with a nice view over the rough landscape. It’s a very special place if you’re searching for a place to relax and watch the stars at night. Absolutely perfect!

Urlaub

Maria ist sehr herzlich, gastfreundlich und jeder Zeit erreichbar. Wir waren mit einem Baby und 2 Hunden vor Ort und hatten immer super Kontakt mit den Tieren die die dort leben. Es gibt viel Platz um den eigenen Hunden genug Auslauf zu geben. Wir waren in der Winterzeit dort und zur Info, es könnten für die Heizung extrakosten anfallen.

Schönes und grosszügiges Landhaus in der Natur, gute Lage!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche im Landhaus mitten in der Natur. Es ist sehr günstig gelegen um Ausflüge sowohl an die Küste Nähe Lagos als auch an die Strände der Westküste zu unternehmen. Wir haben im Haus alles vorgefunden, was wir brauchten und haben auch gern mal etwas gekocht in der grossen Küche. Sogar eine Knoblauchpresse 😊 war da. Schöne grosse Terrasse um abends nach den Ausflügen in Ruhe entspannen zu können. Mary ist eine sehr nette Lady, sie wohnt direkt im Haus nebenan und ist bei Bedarf jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr hilfsbereit, ganz herzlichen Dank nochmal für die tolle Zeit!

Jewel in the Crown

Lovely quiet holiday in the country, and still on the Algarve, not an English breakfast or fish and chips in sight, the accommodation is great and suited us well, plenty of room to site out on the patio's and enjoy the sunshine. It's a five mile drive to get to the shops so a car is a necessity, there is a little Portuguese cafe / bar just down the road that does nice coffee. Mary the owner who lives next door can not do enough for you. We had four weeks there and can not wait to go back. Thank you Mary for looking after us. Peter.

Could have been a lot better.

The hot tub which we were looking forward to using, was indoors in the bathroom and when we arrived we were told that it wasn't working. A big disappointment which spoilt the holiday. When we saw the advert there was a TV but actually there wasn't one there (also disappointing) and we think it has now been removed from the description. The parking space is unlit so in the dark we had to leave the car headlights on to see where we were going until we could put the house lights on. The steps up to the terrace are unsafe. The first step is six loose breeze blocks placed on the ground, the second is a crumbly piece of garden wall and from there you step onto the grass before stepping onto the terrace. There is no handrail or anything to hold onto. The villa was spacious but basic, there were no bed headboards, stiff sundried towels, used dishcloth and sponge, missing wardrobe door, slippery shower floor when wet with no safety mat and shabby outdoor furniture. There is a solar farm next door which we didn't expect and it spoils the view. The owner was welcoming, friendly and helpful so it was hard to complain, plus we had nowhere else to go so we had to live with it.

Tranquille paisible

Super accueil maison propre et agréable en pleine campagne. La propriétaire Marry est tres discrète toujours à demander sil ne manque rien très soucieuse du bien-être de ses locataires. Adore les animaux. Séjour très agréable je recommande.

Grande maison à la campagne

Nous avons bien aimé cette grande maison (100 m2) à la campagne, non isolée. Belle cuisine aménagée, coin salle à manger, très grand canapé dans le salon. Cheminée à bois. Grande chambre avec lit de 135 cm de large (il manque un chauffage d'appoint en hiver), grande salle d'eau. Serviettes de toilette à volonté, couettes, oreillers, coussins très propres. Terrasse au soleil avec table, chaises et chaises-longues. La maison des hôtes est toute proche. Les deux grands chiens sont très gentils et nous ont laissé faire la grasse-matinée tous les jours. Il n'y a plus le poney et l'âne 😓. La ville de Lagos est à 5 kms ainsi que ses incroyables plages et falaises. Merci à Mary pour sa gentillesse.

Ruhige Ferien

Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist das Haus genau das Richtiges. Mary ist sehr lieb, hilfsbereit und tierlieb. Unser Hund und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schönes großes Ferienhaus

Uns hat das Haus und die Lage gut gefallen. Fast jeden Tag wurden wir von dem Esel direkt vor unserem Haus geweckt. Die Kinder haben sich gefreut, dass es einen Esel, Katzen und zwei große Hunde gab, die alle sehr lieb sind. Je nach Windrichtung hört man die Schnellstraße und auch Discomusik aus dem Ort. Die Ausstattung des Hauses war gut. Jedoch haben in der Küche Töpfe und funktionierende Pfannen gefehlt. Es gab leider nur einen Topf und zwei Pfannen, die aber nicht mehr nutzbar waren, da defekt. Ansonsten können wir das Haus und auch die nette Vermieterin Mary sehr weiterempfehlen. Wir haben hier ein paar schöne Tage verbracht.

Erholung pur

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub bei Mary und ihren Vierbeinern. Das Haus, die Umgebung ist perfekt und Mary eine hervorragende Gastgeberin. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Die Tiere Doc (Esel), Lio und Trupper ( freundliche Hunde) haben die Kinder und wir sehr ins Herz geschlossen. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder.

Pittoresk verblijf in de countryside

Mooi gelegen met uitzicht over de velden! Ruime cottage met alle noodzakelijke voorzieningen. Mary is een zeer attente en hartelijke gastvrouw die altijd voor je klaar staat. Privacy verzekerd. We komen graag terug!

Monte Judeu

We stayed at Mary's place for two weeks in April 2022. What a lovely place, perfect for everyone who wants to let their mind wander and relax. Beautiful landscape and a lot of beaches even on the west coast are easy to reach. If you travel with dog, there is nothing better. The huge compound is totally enhanced and your dog will have Mary's dogs as companions. The cute donkey will enjoy the carrots you offer him ;.-) Mary is a wonderful landlord/host, always helpful and caring and leaves you to yourself if you don't need anything! Hundred per cent recommendable

Entspannung und Erholung pur

Wer Entspannung, Erholung und Ruhe sucht ist hier absolut richtig. Das Ferienhaus liegt eingebettet in der dort typischen Landschaft, mit viel Weitblick und schönen Aussichten. Mary ist die perfekte Gastgeberin und war immer bemüht, uns den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu machen. Ihre herzliche und unaufdringliche Hilfsbereitschaft ist sehr bemerkenswert! Die Tiere, ein Esel, zwei Hunde und eine Katze sind eine enorme Bereicherung für uns gewesen; sie sind sehr zurückhaltend und unglaublich freundlich. Wenn man den Kontakt zu ihnen möchte, begegnen sie einem sehr zutraulich. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt und nach zwei Wochen schon fast heimelig. Zusammengefasst haben wir unseren zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt extrem genossen und fahren sehr erholt, aber auch mit einer gewissen Wehmut. Unser nächster Aufenthalt bei Mary ist bereits in Planung! Also: Dieses Feriendomizil ist sehr zu empfehlen!
