The 2 bedroom apartment is exactly as pictured. Location is fantastic for all Lagos activities. Host is very responsive and helpful. Construction was identified as a possible source of noise in the fine print when booking. In February and March 2026 it was noisy on 5 or 6 days per week from 8am to 6pm (right beside the bedroom window) and some repairs were also going on in unit below us for a few days. This was not host's fault. It looks like the new building going up next door will not be finished for a few months. As a result of construction parts of the apartment's exterior space is closed up and unusable including the utility room and the small terrace off the kitchen resulting in less daylight and heightened noise. The new building is now higher than the rooftop terrace for this unit so that enjoying that will be affected too. Once it's all done it should be much better. Still a great spot!

This apartment was perfect for a 7 day stay in Lagos. It was very spacious, with lots of areas for seating. And it was very well equipped. The kitchen has enough coffee pods for a few days, was well stocked with various seasonings, and even had plastic wrap and foil. There were reusable water bottles to use, and chairs and other items to take to the beach. The location was central - only a 5 minute walk to the main square. We were a bit concerned about the remote parking lot, but it was only a 5 minute walk as well, and easy to manuever with suitcases, since it was relatively level. There were lots of options for English TV. There was a drawer full of games and books, including a couple of very informative books on the Algarve that we made good use of. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show. I would definitely recommend this apartment if staying in Lagos.

Amazing place

Celia's place was amazing. Exactly as described, spacious, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. Couldn't wish for anything more. Would definitely book again the next time I visit Lagos.

Great Location in Lagos

Enjoyed our stay in Lagos and the location of this apartment was wonderful. We could walk to all the restaurants and attractions in the town of Lagos. Celia provided us with very detailed directions to the apartment and where to park. She even provided YouTube videos on how to operate the washing machine and dishwasher. We were also able to park for free near the city wall and take day trips to the other towns along the coast such as Sagres and Tavira. Definitely recommend this apartment if you want to stay in town. Lagos is a good base for traveling along the Algarve coast.

Lagos 7 days stay

The appartment is located in the heart of Lagos. Very convenient to visit the old town. Beaches are also at a walking distance. Only inconvenience, for being downtown and also probably due to the summer period , some bars are not far and you can hear the bass, as well as the trafic and noisy evening celebrating people, but it does not last all night.

Algarve at it’s best

The apartment was very clean, spacious. and modern. Well situated in the old town. Close to restaurants, shops transport and beach. Great to have a washing machine when travelling for an extended period. Kitchen had everything we needed and very modern. Was met by building manager and shown around the unit. Fabulous Lagos Retreat!

This apartment was even better than advertised. It was clean, very well appointed, perfectly located just inside the old city wall but far enough from nightlife action that we were not bothered, and cloae enough to all the beaches that it never felt too long a walk or a chore to get there. In addition, just down the hill were fabulous restauranys, a very well equipped convenience store and a most fabulous bakery. The pharmacy is a few steps beyond these amenities and the staff there are wonderful too. 10 minutes walk above the apartment is a great grocery store, InterMarchē. In the house Celia provided a beach umbrella, beach chairs, shopping bags, just everything we needed. We highly recommend this VRBO.

Nice Stay

We rented this apartment for one week during our month long Portugal vacation. The apartment was very clean, efficient and worked well for us. The owner was great to deal with and communication was top notch. This is a perfect location if you want to explore the southern coast of the country. Staying within the walls of the city made for a quaint experience that was enjoyable. The apartment is conveniently located to many restaurants and shops.

Tolle Wohnung, sehr zentral. Sehr gute Betten und trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhig. Die Dachterrasse ist allerdings 3 Stockwerke höher, leider. Ansonsten alles super.

Sardine House - Lagos

We rented this accommodation for two weeks on the back of excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. The apartment was spotless, well decorated and had all the facilities we needed - my wife loved the washing machine! It is ideally located, just a few minutes' walk into Lagos town, but far enough away so as not to be disturbed by the noise. It is also close to the beach and the marina. The facilities were as described, and the apartment has everything you could possibly need. The two bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom and shower are wonderful. The only small point I (well my wife) would make us that there isn't a full length mirror. The WiFi speed is lightning fast, and made me green with envy! The TV/IPTV package looked really good, but we didn't use it, as we both had tablets. There is a balcony overlooking the street, and it was lovely to sit out having breakfast, and watching the world go by. There is also a rooftop terrace, which although small, gives you amazing views. We didn't use it, as we are beach people. The property manager was very helpful, and responded quickly when I contacted him about replacing the gas cylinder. Overall, Sardine House is a great place to stay, and I would thoroughly recommend it. If we come back to Lagos again, we will definitely check the availability for it.

Rundum zufrieden

Sehr schönes Appartment welches sehr gut gereinigt war, jedoch ist uns schon bei Ankunft ein unguter Geruch aufgefallen, welcher zwar nicht immer present war jedoch auch nicht verflog. Wo er genau herkam (Bad, Balkon, Küche) konnten wir nicht identifizieren.

Alles was heel goed. Het huis was heel schoon. Wij hadden alles wat we nodig hadden. Bedden zijn heerlijk en de kamers zijn groot. Er is genoeg ruimte om je spullen op te ruimen en de keuken is ook groot en fijn. De woonkamer heeft een klein balkon waar we lekker in de zon een kopie koffie konden drinken. Er is een lekkere bakker vlakbij. Je loopt zo de stad in, en dat is ook de reden dat je ook soms mensen hoort teruglopen van de stad 's nachts. Maar heel veel last daarvan hebben we niet gehad.

New Year in Lagos

A wonderful vacation in Lagos in this apartment. Exactly as advertised and listed. Celia and her property handlers were excellent. We certainly had everything we needed and more. Great location to explore the area. We have no hesitation in recommending this VRBO rental to anyone.

Super Aufenthalt mitten in Lagos

Die Wohnung war klasse, liebevoll eingerichtet und alles war vorhanden, was man/frau benötigt. Schön war das wir das Zentrum so nah hatten (250 m), auch das Wetter war klasse. Der Urlaub war einfach nur schön.
