We have been visit this area every year in October for the last 15 years. This was by far our favorite house we have stayed in. Plenty of space, 3 bathrooms, great location. We will definitely be back!

Masthope winter stay

House was as advertised, good location, plenty of room, generally clean. Basement living space smelled a bit off, but we didn’t need to use it so we stayed out. EV “charger” is just a NEMA outlet, you must bring your own charging cable to use. Would rent again.

Quick PERFECT Visit

My family of 4 stayed at CJ's property for a few days in August and it was perfect! Communications with CJ were GREAT, he was very quick and responsive, and answered all my questions before and during our stay. Beds were all comfortable and basement area a huge plus (although we did not use it during our stay since we all had ample space to utilize). The location of the property is PERFECT. Quiet enough for privacy, but in a great location between both Lake access and Pool/Ski area. A wonderful time was had by all, and CJ was even open to our suggestions. I would DEFINITELY stay at this property again!!! Thanks CJ !!

What a fun place!!

Property description on VRBO is on point!! No surprises or disappointments!! We rented this for a guys weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased with the property amenities AND all of the amenities that Masthope offers. Book with confidence!! CJ (the host) was extremely communicative, prompt, and extremely easy to work with. We’re already planning next year’s trip with our significant others.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

We had a fantastic time on our mountain house vacation. The house was beautiful….clean, comfortable furnishings, huge kitchen, and even a bottle of champagne included! CJ was a wonderful host. Very attentive and responsive. We had some questions about the heat and the lock code and he was right there for us, responding very quickly through text. We will definitely be renting this house again in the future. Thank you CJ!

The LOOKOUT for EASTER WEEKEND

We were visiting family. Ran across the Lookout for a place to stay locally. The house was great. Very spacious. Convenient for our needs. CJ was a great host. Easy to contact. House was very comfortable. Great place to stay with a large family. Would definitely recommend staying at the Lookout!!!

family getaway

amazing property! room for everyone and location was perfect. you could walk to the lodge if you like and memorial park was a short walk. amenities were amazing and fun for all ages. perfect getaway for a small extended family vacation. allowed us to spend quality time together and CJ was an amazing communicator. I would highly recommend this property for a family getaway!

Great for kids

We’ve been coming to Lackawaxen for decades because of family and this booking was a treat for us so we could have our own space - with AC!, our own kitchen, nice wooded area, plenty of beds, etc.

Wonderful Stay

Enjoyable stay at "The Lookout"

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Lookout". The house was just as beautiful as listed online and it was perfect for the 6 of us! Charles, "CJ" was an excellent host-there was good communication, the house had a nice library of books to read and games on hand to play. It was nice having the gas grill on the deck. We enjoyed playing shuffleboard in the basement. We were glad that my daughter brought her computer so we were able to Chromecast and stream live tv. My daughters enjoyed the community pool and we all enjoyed the Tiki Bar-where the food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. We got a real sense of the wonderful Masthope community there. We highly recommend this rental!!

Lackawaxen Vacation

My family loved the house. We had a lot of room and everything was very comfortable. The host left a lot of the necessities, so we didn’t have to purchase a lot of supplies or cleaning products. We saw deer and chipmunks on the property. My kids had a great time. We would definitely rent from them again.
