Mother’s Day long weekend

This condo was a perfect place for my family for a long weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Felt like home and had a lot of conveniences including drinks and condiments in the fridge so we didn’t have to rush out to buy groceries. Quick walk over to the resort where rest of our family was staying. Definitely plan to stay there again!!!!

A wonderful place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was spotlessly clean and I have never stayed anywhere that had everything you could need! The location was fantastic and the townhouse was perfect for four adults. Communication with Katie was fantastic and it’s clear that she really wants to make sure anyone who stays in your property has a wonderful holiday. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Best Hospitality

If you need it, this place has it! It was clean, roomy and an overall beautiful casita for our family of 4. We stayed a week from WA state and having a pool just steps away was so convenient and accessible. And talk about the best host! We arrived Easter Sunday to 2 wonderful baskets each with my girls' names. They were full of candy, toys and fun stuff. And not to mention the 2 bottles of wine for mom and dad and fridge stocked with breakfast foods and drinks. This was the best rental by far and a superb location. It was also steps away from main resort entry for fun people watching and snacks/drinks. Thank you so much again Hawkes!

Second time, same perfection!

This was my second time at this property, and I didn't think my expectations could be surpassed, since I already knew how wonderful it was, and yet they were! This property -- and the owner's attention to detail to ensure our stay was optimal -- have basically ruined me for all other rentals. It is perfection. To say it is "well appointed" is such an understatement. There is nothing -- NOTHING -- you could wish for that isn't there. I keep discovering new things in Katie's vacation home that I want in my REGULAR home. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? :-) As others have stated, whether it's the dream kitchen, outdoor furnishings, bikes or perfect location, this property is simply the best. My only hesitancy in writing this review is that I know it will make it harder for me to rent again, because it will be booked! But Katie deserves it for all of the time and effort she puts into making sure her guests are happy and enjoy their stay in beautiful La Quinta. Thx, Katie!

A wonderful vacation

Katie was a superb host! She emailed us all the information we needed a few days prior and the house was ready for our arrival. Seriously, 9 days was not long enough. A few steps away from this house: LQ resort shops and restaurants, tennis courts, pool, bike and walking paths, etc. Also included were bikes...we hardly drove anywhere...we just used the bikes! They were in perfect shape and more comfortable than my bike at home. The kitchen had everything we needed! Even though it was perfect BBQ weather, we didn't use the BBQ but it is ready and on the deck! The courtyard is pretty! I hope to rent again from Katie. Thank you Katie and Family.

Stop looking, you won't find anything better!

I've stayed in many vacation rentals, but Katie and Rick's place is by far the best. Clean, spacious, excellent location, the most comfortable beds, fluffy robes. Katie provides everything you could possibly need and more. Katie responds quickly and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We were closer to La Quinta Resort than if we'd stayed at the Resort! This is the only place I will stay in La Quinta from now on. I can't wait to come back. An oasis in the desert for sure!

Best VRBO (or any rental property) we have ever stayed in!

We have vacationed all over the world, and stayed in countless hotels, resorts, and rental properties. Kathleen’s beautiful home is by far the most well appointed home we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the gorgeous furniture (indoor and out) to the comfortable beds, to the overly stocked kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms, you name it. We lacked for absolutely nothing! Even a clean and comfortable rollaway bed, endless pool and sports equipment, bikes, books, and board games all neatly arranged in the garage for our use! This is an amazing home, and I really can’t recommend it highly enough. Kathleen took care of our every need, even FaceTiming with me one morning to walk me through the Keurig coffee maker (I don’t own one!). Front and back patios are gorgeous for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and the pool is right across a grassy walkway which is so convenient. The resort is literally a two minute walk, making the location just perfect. Thank you, Kathleen, for the unforgettable trip. We will be back!

Beautiful Oasis

My husband and I brought our 3 teenage daughters and 10 yr old son for a weekend away. We all had such a great time! I have never found such gracious hospitable owners. They were fantastic! Our kids loved riding the bikes they provided, playing tennis, swimming, hot tubbing and much more! The grounds are beautifully taken care of and our 10 year old loved playing catch on the grass. It was just the most relaxing weekend.

Perfect in every way!

We have gone to La Quinta for New Years several years in a row, but this was our first time staying in a condo and not in a hotel and we will certainly never go back to the hotel! Wonderful condo, laid out perfectly, with literally every amenity you can imagine. We travel quite a bit, and I'm also an airbnb host, and I have never stayed in a place as well organized for guests as this one was. Literally every drawer was filled with exactly what should be there -- and is labeled with directions and explanation. And the location is just perfect. Plus the bikes tires were pumped, there was snacks and staples in the fridge and even New Year's hats! Seriously I felt like I was robbing someone because it shouldn't be cheaper to stay in a two bedroom condo with a full kitchen and two baths than in a small hotel room 20 yards away. Thank you thank you thank you Kathleen for making traveling during covid as wonderful as it could possibly be. You set the bar for all future travels very high and I hope to be able to stay again soon!

Simply the Best!

We decided last minute to visit the Palm Springs area and lucked out when Katie and Rick had a cancellation over Christmas. What a gem...it is steps away from the pool and resort, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas . Takeout drinks/ food were available from resort restaurants and there was enough outdoor seating on the gorgeous grounds to feel safe during COVID-19 restrictions. When we stepped into the villa, we were greeted with Christmas music on Alexa, Christmas stockings for my husband, me and our pup, and beautifully wrapped gifts for each of us under a tiny Christmas tree! We expected to have to make a trip to the grocery store but discovered everything we could possibly need for breakfast the next morning. The villa is spotless, and the kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. Katie has used top quality linens, and the villa is spotless. So much attention to detail, even down to current magazines. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to another visit!

Perfection!

We couldn't ask for anything more perfect than this beautiful condo. The location is steps from the resort. The condo is furnished beautifully and every amenity that you need is there. We all enjoyed the beautiful views from the back porch and we loved sitting on the front patio in the morning with our coffee and the grandchildren with their hot chocolate. We will be returning!! Favorite Place to Stay

By far the best place to stay and Katie has done an amazing job providing all the comforts of home! We rarely eat out and rely on having a well stocked kitchen—not only with pantry supplies but cooking supplies—completely meets this requirement! Beyond expectations

The unit itself is so pretty and so well designed, warm, welcoming and comfortable, the photos don’t do it justice, we really didn’t want to leave. Pool so close by, everyone adhered to safe social distancing, and the unit was thoroughly cleaned and I felt safe bringing my kids there. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Weekend Getaway

Katie is the best and her home is beyond perfect!! She has thought of everything and all you need to pack is the clothes you will be wearing. There are bikes and swim floats in the garage, goodies in the fridge, and everything you need to make a yummy breakfast. La Quinta Retreat

A PERFECT STAY!

We had a perfect stay at this property. The home is very clean and comfortable. It is stocked with every amenity you could want. The location could not be more perfect, it is just a few steps to the resort. There are many dining options nearby, dine in and take out. The property has two fabulous patios, the landscaping is gorgeous. The owners are amazing, very kind and responsive, they go above and beyond to create a wonderful stay. Highly recommended, we can't wait to return again soon!

Home away from home

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfy. Overall, it was the best equipped rental yet. Very thoughtful touches throughout, even a stocked fridge upon arrival with breakfast items etc. for the morning. We were very comfortable here. We had a great stay in this very well maintained and equipped home!

The house is very comfortable and close to everything. A short walk to the La Quinta resort amenities and close to the swimming pool. The owners are very responsive and helpful and have stocked the house with about anything you might need. We really enjoyed our time there.
