    The Breakers 1 is named for the crashing surf at the famous Windansea surf break just down the street from this beautifully designed beach cottage. Featuring two bedrooms and two-bath, this home is bright and airy with plenty of windows and skylights to let the sunshine in.

    Open the door, and step into the chic living room with a large TV, beachy décor and comfortable seating. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with clean white stone countertops and backsplash with a stainless-steel appliance package. Dining spaces include a kitchen island/breakfast bar for 4 and a breakfast table for 2.

    Step down the hall and there are two bedrooms to choose from; Bedroom 1 features a queen bed and TV, and Bedroom 2 comes with 2 twin beds. Each room has a dedicated bathroom; one with a tub/shower and the other with a shower. All beds and bathrooms are ready-made with white hotel-style linens and towels for your comfort.

    Additional amenities include an in-home washer and dryer, beach shower, complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, and air conditioning.

    Located in a highly sought-after coastal La Jolla neighborhood, this home is only 6 houses up from one of the most picturesque beaches in San Diego. Popular activities include beachcombing, surfing, diving, sunbathing, and strolling the beautiful neighborhood. From here, it’s walking distance to local restaurants and 1 mile from the bustling Village of La Jolla with shops, oceanfront dining and museums and more!

    Please note: The Breakers 1 is accessed by stairs next to The Breakers 2, a three-bedroom home that is also available for rent. Each home has its own private entrance off the shared garden path from the front yard.

Family Trip

We were very comfortable here for almost a week with two adults and two kids (7&4). The location is great and central to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Loved being able to walk to not just the beach but also a market with lots of fresh food and to-go options. There were lots of amenities that were available in the house, too. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re in town.

We loved the property and the location. It was perfect for walking a short distance to the beach. Sunsets were beautiful. We were there visiting our daughter who moved to SD this year. We would Stay here again in the future!

Wonderful place close to water!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property! Nicely decorated, super-comfortable beds, and just a quick walk down the street to Windansea Beach. It was the perfect space and location for our group, close to shopping and restaurants but tucked away in an extremely quiet neighborhood. The property management team made sure we had everything we needed for an easy check-in and relaxing stay. Thanks for making our time in San Diego/La Jolla so great – we hope to stay here again the next time we visit!

Cute little cottage by the sea

My husband and daughter stayed and really enjoyed the space. Very clean with all amenities needed. Appreciated the ample number of towels and very comfortable beds. Neighborhood is lovely and quiet. We were a hop skip to the beach. We enjoyed a cocktail on the large shared balcony in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again when visiting our daughter in San Diego!

Cozy 2 Bedroom in La Jolla

Great spot for a family of 4. Super clean 2 bed 2 bath with a living room and dining room combo. Kids had their own room and bathroom. Since we were at the beach and out on the town it was perfect for what we needed. It’s a bit odd with the attached house to this property but for us it was just fine. We only saw our neighbors one time in the three days. Kitchen needs some basic cooking ingredients (salt pepper oil/cooking spray) so if you’re staying here be prepared for that. It’s within walking distance to a great coffee spot. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery store within a 5 minute drive which is nice. Overall a perfect little spot in a quiet neighborhood.

Nice unit in a great location

The unit was as advertized. Very comfortable. Well stocked. The location was perfect. The only reason for giving the unit four stars instead of five was accessibility.There is a picture and description of the stairs to the unit, so we knew what we were getting, but as I was hauling heavy suitcases up and down, it was a struggle for me. Also upon arrival, the garage door code was not functional. Management was able to help with an alternative, and eventually found the cause and fixed it, but it was not convenient, especially in the rain. There were a couple other minor issues, but overall, it is a very nice unit.

Location was perfect!

It was a great location for just being able to walk to the beach in like 2 mins. Spent all day outside. If I were bringing kids, make sure you have clearer explaination on how to turn on roku cuz we watched video and read directions and nothing worked. As adults we didn't mind. No games or cards so just talked all night. If ya have kids keep that in mind. I would rent this place again, It was clean and location was great! Only stayed 4 days, ate in most of the time but it was hard not to go out to eat! We had a car rental( Hyundai Tucson) which fit perfectly in spaces and easy to get in garage when the street filled with cars. If I had my navigator it would have been a nightmare.

So much potential!

This is a great property. The location is wonderful and it well decorated on a quiet street. There were a few minor issues: This unit is at the top of stairs that connect the main house to the rooftop deck (this unit wasn’t allowed to utilize the rooftop). It wouldn’t be as problematic but the front door is glass with no shade. As such, the tenants in the main house can see into the main area of your unit when they go up or down the stairs. Likewise, I could see into the living room/kitchen of their unit when I walked out of my door. If you had both units, it would be incredible but there is a privacy issue with different tenants in the space. There were very few amenities included. They provided tiny hotel-sized shampoo, conditioner and body soap but that isn’t sufficient for a week stay. There were no amenities in the kitchen. I don’t expect much but they didn’t have proper coffee filters, salt, pepper, plastic wrap, or any other basics. Our bathroom outlets didn’t work but the rental company was very prompt in fixing the problem and responsive when we reached out. The location can’t be beat so these are just recommendations to improve the overall experience.

The Breakers 1 was perfect in so many ways. Since it was only two of us, the place was more than spacious. The interior was spotless and comfortable. The outside sitting area was very quiet, relaxing and private. The host was very responsive and courteous. The location is unbeatable, one minute walk to the beach and an eight-minute drive to downtown La Jolla. Local eateries are walkable which is plus! Overall fabulous stay!!!
