We had a wonderful stay at this La Jolla Beach House with our family and grandkids. The home was very comfortable, spotless, and felt welcoming right from the start. The layout worked perfectly for both adults and kids, and the Casita with the outdoor space in between was such a nice touch—it gave everyone room to spread out while still feeling connected. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day at the beach. The house had everything we needed for a fun, easy getaway, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Lovely location and house

The house was clean, compact but roomy enough for our group. In a great location! Guest house was very comfortable for we Grandparents and there was a nice clean Jacuzxi for the kids. Only drawback was the very narrow driveway up to the garage! We had a great time!

Comfortable and spacious house walking distance to beach

The perfect beach house! It was a short walk to a lovely beach and playground and some cafes also. The house was clean and comfortable. Beds were above average. All amenities were there like soap etc .Laundry machines and hot tub were excellent additions! Parking was super helpful too

We’ll be back!

We loved our stay at this cute beach cottage. The layout was perfect for our extended family. Grandparents stayed in the casita, adults stayed in the two bedrooms and kids stayed in the bunk room (we were grateful there was an additional door to enter the main house at the kitchen so the kids could sleep in without being disturbed). The location to the beach and Main Street could not be beat! We loved walking for coffee in the morning and walking to the beach for sunset at night, The only minor tweaks I would suggest are a broom for sweeping up sand, etc — and 409 or windex for cleaning the glass table between meals. Other than those two items, the house was well stocked! We cooked some delicious meals and had every utensil we needed (my husband loved the grill). We enjoyed the hot tub at night — but wished there was a communal fire pit in the main area for all to enjoy vs just the one next to the casita. Overall a fantastic stay — we are already planning a return trip the next time we are in the area for a long weekend!

A Lovely Property

This was a great property with easy access to the beach and a short walk to restaurants and shops. It was clean and uncluttered with all the amenities a hotel would have. The only comments would be to put more surface space in the bathrooms for toiletries, a long mirror in the master bedroom, a better way to stage two suitcases in the master bedroom and outlets on both sides of the bed. With that said, the property deserves a five star rating. Would stay here again if ever in La Jolla.

4 old friends spending long weekend one block from beach. Plenty of room, quiet, especially appreciated the hot tub and comfy beds. Perfect for 4 adults to relax and explore the area!

Fantastic location

A great house in an amazing location. We loved that we were so close and could easily walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. The house is really cute, and the casita worked well for our group (it allowed one family with a 3 year old to have their own space). The hot tub was a nice touch. The kitchen was well-appointed and clean. There were a few minor maintenance issues and the management was quick to reply and offer solutions. Check-in was easy and the instruction manual was clear. And we appreciated the bag of snacks left as a welcome gift. The main challenge is with the 3rd bedroom in the main house. We knew that it was listed as pass-through (which wasn’t an issue). But the room has cut-outs in the walls (going into the living room) that are only covered by blinds and the doors are barn doors that barely close, so any noise in the main rooms of the house will be heard perfectly in that room. We used the room for our 3 kids to stay in - as soon as one person was up and in the kitchen, they were awake. Finally, it’s good to remember that this is a really expensive area, so the house is smaller than the pictures make it look. It wasn’t an issue, but just good to be aware of to manage your expectations. Overall, it was a great place to stay, in a really wonderful location.

Simple and beach side

Everything was as expected. The house is just a couple short blocks to the beach but still has a quiet residential neighborhood vibe. The separate "casita" was very neat (wish there were 3 of them).

Amazing location!

You can’t beat the location of this house! It was so easy to walk to/from the beach as well as restaurants and shops. The house was perfect! Plenty of room for our family of 5 and all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was amazing after a trip to the beach in December.

Great location in La Jolla

This property was great - we really appreciated all the extra touches that made it stand out in comparison to many other VRBOs - clear instructions, a welcome pack of useful items, enough supplies. The house was a cute beach bungalow only a block from the beach. Everything was in great condition. As described, the driveway is narrow - we parked outside on the street without a problem,. We loved being able to walk to a variety of restaurants. Being close to the beach was great, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Bluewater Vacation Rentals were available via text for any questions, and they always responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful week at the "Bungalow". It is beautiful property, quiet neighborhood and great location! An easy walk to the beach (less than 5 mins) and 10 min walk to the surrounding restaurant area. Clean and spacious with a lovely back patio that we enjoyed relaxing on in the evenings after a day at the beach.

Fantastic House but watch the parking

The house is fabulous! And the location is both a blessing and a curse. I rented a full size car only to discover that my car barely fit in the driveway. If you rent this house, a small car is STRONGLY recommended. If you park on the street you will fight the surfers who park on the streets and often partially block the driveway. Other than the parking challenges, the house is great! We will definitely look to return to this great house albeit with a smaller car!
